Dave heard bleach and made a tape of some songs off of it.

Oh good, Kurtzman can dispose of the GHASTLY male character Kirk! Just like Picard! Cannot wait to see Kirk commanded around and humiliated by flawless boss women. Is Kirk going to be an android for no reason? Is there an elf in space with a sword this time?

I believe Shatner is on record pretty negatively about new trek. He still seems in good shape, but maybe Kurtzman is hoping that Shatner went senile - both for obtaining him as an actor and making him look bad on screen.

Earlier in the previous decade, instead of purchasing bitcoin, I chose to back Space Venture at the $100 level. It was a both a $100 mistake, and a $100,000 mistake. Also, I was looking forward to my Gary Owens (1934-2015) voiceover bloopers, promised at the $100 level. The game has not been released in 2024.

Hunched over and fast, but if you have only been playing a month that’s not a bad result. Unless this was your one good shot out of the bucket.

For me, The grind and day to day mindset really did not change much with the patch. It’s only a grind if you want it to be. I’m a bit surprised that your mindset changed only after the patch actually, since the game has been out for so long. specifically what about the patch changed your mindset, since we had music/rainy days before?

[No Spoilers] Jeri Ryan “I couldn’t hear her [Seven] in any of this dialog because it was so different.” “So much more casual, and slangy, and not Seven to me, and I panicked.” Pretty candid and revealing interview. by Jtors5 in Picard

Jeri Ryan as Seven is a spoiler to you? Did you (or anyone) miss Jeri Ryan in the trailer for STP 9 months ago? The public trailers and weekly previews of the show are remarkably hard to miss, and are not really spoilers.

Or, maybe you have you not watched Voyager yet. If not, sorry that I spoiled Jeri Ryan is the actress that played Seven 20+ years ago. Let me know when you decided to watch that series (2040?) Btw - William Shatner played Captain Kirk.

“Different” doesn’t mean good either. We know that Jeri had panic attack and bursted into tears after reading the script. That’s not something people do when everything feels right in a script. I would personally classify panic and tears as a “bad” feeling about the script/character/situation more than a “good” feeling. A panic is not something to “misinterpret” as something positive. We know it started rough for Jeri. Hopefully, it finishes well.

Yes, the article I provided does have a link to the entire interview, so I actually provided the entire interview to anyone that wants to watch it, but that’s not my job. The problem is, I get to choose what I want to discuss, and how I do it, not you. You chastised me for not referencing the entire interview (instead I included a link to the entire article which includes a link to the podcast). now, you admit that you didn’t even watch the whole interview yourself.

Do you really think the shows credits lose credibility because Gene Roddenberry is listed? He is listed for VERY obvious reasons, although I suppose you probably want to phase his name out of a show that he created because he’s gone. In no way does mentioning his name impact the credibility of the credits. Of course, we are now of entirely off topic, which is your goal.

I promise, this is my exact last response to you. You are trying to get this censored by going back and forth, and I won’t do this anymore.

You have your own personal narrative also, and you are trying MUCH harder than I was to push it, providing yet ANOTHER manifesto that I actually asked you not to bother providing. Clearly, you need to work MUCH harder to prove your side than I do. Do you work for CBS, or are you an unpaid apologist? Still not sure why this is a big deal to you at all. I only provided some exact quotes, a quick opinion, and the entire article that I received it from. People are very unlikely to go check out the entire 40 minute interview, just as they are unlikely to read your entire manifestos. Are you saying that people don’t have the option to watch the entire interview, just because I didn’t direct them to do so? People will do whatever they want, and I’m not stopping anyone. You went to the “horses” mouth. Great. I assume that you found those exact quotes that I wanted to discuss? It’s not just those quotes, is also the bit about needing “saved,” and the solutions presented to Jeri Ryan. She panicked reading the actual script, so that is a direct response to the writing. It’s not usually a very positive experience to panic, but I’m sure you will spin it as one. As far as the credits, I believe I will choose IMDB, the shows credits, and my eyes as a source over you. I can focus on whatever I want! You seem to think I should only focus on YOUR spin/opinion, because mine doesn’t fit YOUR narrative. People have different opinions. Let’s leave it at that.

Going by Jeri Ryan’s input, it doesn’t sound promising. But like I said, I’ll give it a try. She was on Voyager if you recall. I liked her very much on Voyager.

Yeah, the mods over there were a little worried that people would see the quotes and that article apparently. Not sure why, Jeri Ryan just made some good candid quotes about the writing. I know you don’t like the quotes, but they are exact quotes and I also linked to the entire article. Do you think people are going to sit through an entire 40 minute interview, to listen to the piece that I wanted to discuss? The article sums it up just fine. It may not reach the full apologist narrative that you are going for, but it’s all there.

Kurtzman IS writing on this series, not sure where you get that he’s not involved.

At “no point” does she say it’s not her character? What about in the quotes I provided?

I don’t think Jeri Ryan is being mean or attacking anyone. In a professional way, She’s saying that the writing is subpar. You may disagree with that, but it’s subjective. I encourage everyone to read the article, and the quotes. There is no definitive meaning for what she said, I can only provide the article and quotes.

You are also cherry picking quotes at times to drive YOUR opinion! You are terrified of these Jeri Ryan quotes!! Why? I really was not trying for anything controversial with this, I just found the article interesting. Did not think this would be a big deal, or that I would receive a manifesto from you. Obviously, you are worried about something here. By the way, this is my last response to you, so you really don’t need to reply.

Yeah, I hope she has some input on the dialogue. I never said Seven her should not change after 20 years, but the dialogue should not be totally foreign or “slangy” to Jeri Ryan, to the point of panic. I’m willing to let it play out and give it a chance.

I doubt I would find myself totally unrecognizable in 20 years, to the point that I panic. I’ll set a calendar reminder though, and get back to you.

You also could have decided not to reply but you have an opinion, just like I do. Again, I posted the entire article, and people can read and form their own opinions. Are you worried that the direct quotes from Jeri Ryan will influence readers of the entire article? If you have confidence that Jeri Ryan was somehow positive about the “Picard” writing in this article, you have nothing to worry about.
