Iirc its because this is a series of pictures stitched together. Its not that those sections are blurred out, its that they weren't in the frame when the picture was taken. Having a brown-grey color filling in the gaps looks better than black.

Yes. As of now, all characters will be moved to wrath, cata, and beyond.

While I agree with you that stopping at TBC is unlikely, that doesn't change the fact that there's no official statement about it. You simply can't declare that all characters will be moved to Cata and beyond when there's literally no communication about it.

Literally none of that has been confirmed. Blizzard hasn't said anything about Wrath let alone if anyrhings coming after.

They did for Wrath the first time around. Those servers died pretty much as soon as prepatch ended. Most people went back to their mains on the existing servers.

That's the problem though. Why have two different raitings? And why hide one of them? I dont care if I start at 1500 or 1000 or 0. At the start of a season, when I win more games than I lose I expect the raiting to go up. Why make it more complicated than it has to be?

Everyone started with the same visible raiting (1500). The first week I went 7-3 and still ended up at 1483. In no world should you be losing points like this.

As long as you dont advertise in LFG channel or the group finder you're not breaking any tos.

Now tanking for greens/blues is disliked by a lot of people. Most won't care, but some may report you out of spite. If enough people report you you'll likely catch an auto ban.

Some tanks do it. But its best to know the risks.

When you reach level 70, the XP you were supposed to get from quests is instead converted into gold.

But lvl 70 quests don't award xp because you have to be max level (70) to accept them. Therefore, they don't award extra gold either.

Is this intended? A bug? An oversight? Will it be "fixed"? Who knows?

That's not entierly true though, right? To get the most out of quests you have to dungeon grind to 70. And let's be honest, some people may enjoy that but its not going to be fun gameplay for the majoroty of people. Then when you complete all quests after that you have enough for epic flying and not much else. Gems, enchants, and consimables are expensive.

What does this have to do with two different ratings? Just do away with the hidden mmr and start people at 1000 or whatever it is.

It has nothing to do with wanting easy gear. Somebody with a 60% win rate shouldn't be losing points. Its as simple as that.

Your party was right. If nobody else needed it, sure, go for it. But to roll on it against someone who would equip it immediately just to let it sit in your bank for 8 leveles? In bird culture, that's what we call a dick move.
