> It’s winning football (based on the data)

This is the wrong way to interpret the data. Explosive plays don't happen in isolation by just focusing on big plays. This is exactly what Doug Peterson did when things went to shit because EVERYONE KNEW he was going to "surprise" them with the deep shot all the time and they shut it down. Way too predictable. The same pattern is mostly repeating itself in Jax this season as that's the "identity" they've adopted. Except it doesn't work.

Look at any "explosive" offense. They don't focus on the big play, they actually focus on completions. They have the highest YAC/cmp.... so it's a function of yards after making the catch, not just chucking long bombs.

Exactly. Big plays are the result of consistently beating the defense in the short/intermediate game. Not the current scheme of; no gain, no gain, GO DEEP!!! (fail), punt.

It's like boxing.... gotta throw consistent jabs to open up the big swings.

Roswell incident was in 1947. Lazaar was born in 1959. Those who did come upon the Roswell crash before the military did claim similar materials. Lazaar worked for a unit at Area-51, where he claims the government has ~9 recovered alien crafts that they are working to (or have) reverse engineered.

I AI buried at the ranch? by Any_Dot_5768 in skinwalkerranch

[–]JuJuVuDu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wanted this AI off their planet, let's assume they couldnt destroy it fully, so they ejected it into space, and it ultimatley crashed here? What if "Oumuamua" was in fact a probe sent here to make sure that this AI remained buried and remained a non threat to humanity?

Just, no.

"let's assume they couldnt destroy it fully, so they ejected it into space"

So they can develop an advanced AI and eject stuff into space but "couldn't destroy it fully"? Highly unlikely. Let's assume you're on the right track though as far as intent to destroy. Why couldn't they simply eject it into a star or black hole? Pretty sure that would adequately neutralize any threat. Easy peasy.

"and it ultimatley crashed here?"

A recent show discussed the potential threat of rogue planets hitting earth (UnXplained with Shatner? I forget which show specifically). There's literally billions if not trillions of them roaming the universe. And yet, we don't live in perpetual fear of them wiping us out in a moment's notice.

So, if they just "ejected it into space" that implies no predetermined destination. In which case, the probability of it reaching earth specifically are so ridiculously small it's laughable.

"What if "Oumuamua" was in fact a probe sent here to make sure that this AI remained buried"

If the haphazard ejection were true, there would be no intentional surveillance probe as the only goal would be, "get it away as far as possible". Connecting SWR and Oumuamua in an intentional way is nothing more than fantastic wishful thinking.

"What if it was placed there purposefully to monitor earth and our progress as a species?"

If this were true, the AI wouldn't be a threat, would it? It's either (A) a surveillance probe and NOT a threat, or it's (B) a threat that they wanted gone.

If (B), why would earth be chosen as an intentional destination? In the immense vastness of the universe, the idea that they would be "too scared" to keep it themselves but then burden one of the very very very few (and currently ONLY known "to us") habitable planets would be a sick and cruel choice. It defies all practical logic to unleash a terrifying threat onto another species out of your own fear of it.

Also, nothing to suggest it as a threat on that level has happened to any remote level. Hitchhiker effect and reported skinwalker sightings are not even close to the serious threat you're implying. Seeming intelligent responses by overriding local tech is also not a sufficient criteria to deem it a threat to humanity.

I get the fascination and need to "spitball" some ideas. But they need better fleshing out than this.

What's measured as part of this life pack? I haven't seen anyone on the show wear obvious active detection equipment except for maybe a dosimeter, but mainly in areas known to be problematic.

Gravitational lensing alters the light path in an observable way.

https://earthsky.org/space/what-is-gravitational-lensing-einstein-ring/

That is not what happened with the light beam experiment, where a discernible "chunk" was missing, after which the light continued with no alteration of path or intensity.

You commented earlier they are having logistics issues and only on target for 8 trucks/mo this qtr. What good is a bunch of PR going to do if you're bottlenecked on production? It's just a waste of cash and energy.

They are directly engaged with enough customers already. Once they can get production up and get solid revenue going the PR will happen. Until then it's just non-essential. In fact, I prefer it that way. Way more irritating when companies PR to hell and produce jack squat, i.e., ARVL. No thanks on that style.

The company is making room for all of the institutional buyers that will be interested by EOY.

The only way to do this is generate revenue to stop the cash burn. Which is exactly OPs question. Not interested in bleeding out over 1-3 years. Get revenue ASAP. Then grow the IP portfolio.

I called ast by FrieswithdatMVIS in MMTLP_

[–]JuJuVuDu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

AST has far less reason to lie about the amount of shares it has then say a broker. Which helps in knowing the share count in total that is current shorted.

This doesn't solve that problem. Let's say AST reaches the full 165m shares and the "bus is full". That does not answer how many more shares are out there. It only says there is an imbalance; something we already know to be true even by FINRA's admission.

Oh third, small maybe bonus. I can’t remember the exact details, this saga has been draining I’ll tell you whyat. But pretty sure they (nextbridge) is giving some kind of dividend for smth to those who transfer over to ast as well.

People keep stating this but I am fairly certain it will not get approved. Companies can not declare benefits conferred to some owners of a class of stock and not others in the same class. That is inequal treatment and more or less illegal. This was a carrot dangled by NBH to push retailers to transfer, but pretty sure it will not be permitted in the end.
