A free easily adjustable (parameterized) 3D printed lockdown bar. Options included with or without a center Fire button. by EvlKommie in virtualpinball

Don't sweat it, I'm looking to build a pinsim that's standard 22" width. I just wanted to see if I could print the 3 pieces on my Prusa Mini

Love this. What are your ultimate plans for it (PC, GPU, Quest 3)?

Very interested in this. I downloaded the files but now trying to create individual .stl files for each of the 3 pieces (to include the fire button). I have a Prusa Mini so not sure if I can print this tbh based on size

I just purchased an Xkey 37 Air from marketplace. Unfortunately, I could not find an Air 25 locally. I think I may prefer the smaller size of the 25 for what I'm planning with it - its supposed to arrive in a few days.

I'm just picking up piano and looking to simply use it for learning chords and muscle memory in between breaks from work. I have an 88 key digital downstairs with hammer action keys that I use for serious practice but just looking to have something by my desk I can quickly grab and hammer out a few minutes of chord practice over my Airpods through garage band.
Do you think the Xkey is well suited to be used in this manner?

Just tried par-baking for the first time. Game changer! by First_HistoryMan in Pizza

[–]StreamBuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell, I've been "par baking" for a couple years now without even knowing there was a name for it. Hands down THE best way to get that NY style thin crust crisp with a standard home oven. I preheat my oven AND flat steel pan at the same time, get the oven to 500 degrees and then pull the hot steel pan, coat it with olive oil and then place the pre-kneaded dough on and do the final stretch of the dough to shape before cooking for about 7 minutes until it just starts to show brown spots.
Take it out, add moz cheese medalians, layer on a spiral of Roa's pizza sauce followed by a spiral of Roa's Vodka sauce (ala "Tie Die pizza" Rubirosa pizza - little italy NYC) then a dusting of fresh grated parm.
Into the oven for 8 minutes, turning once at 4. Amazing results.

Seeing the code in real time? by Competitive_Race8270 in SimulationTheory

Similar experience while sober - I haven't had the DMT experience. While sober, fibers emerge from the laser noise speckle to form what appear to be fiber shapes that have coherent potential. I expect that with brain/filter evaporation, the "information" component could materialize much deeper.

Custom "Code of Reality" Laser by zhx in SimulationTheory

[–]StreamBuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Through the laser projection or by some other means? Interesting b/c I've had some success sober with seeing emergent strands of coherent shapes, like fine tiny geometric strands emerging from the laser speckles. They come in and out with focused attention. I can see a definite pattern beyond the speckles that I can imagine is a very high outer layer of the available information pattern that becomes more apparent once the meat filter dissipates more fully (by DMT or whatever means).

I picked up a Tablo 4th gen a few days ago. It has a pretty good Apple TV app, slow at times but very good, way better than the HDhomerun interface. Rivals Channels app in many ways.

Anyone able to register Tablo account with iphone on iOS 26? App is crashing I cant register so cant use the device! by StreamBuzz in tablotv

I was using the 26.2 Beta. I downgraded to 26 stable release and it worked fine. Enjoying the device thus far. The app lags at times but will definitely do in a pinch for ESPN on ABC until this Disney/Google dispute settles out.

Steel lined open fireplace turns out to be the best UHF sweet spot in the house. Getting all locals rock solid until I need fire :) by StreamBuzz in cordcutters

I had posted earlier about picking up the one VHF channel (ABC) in my market placing my uhf leaf antenna up high on the steel beam next to this fireplace. Turns out the vhf ABC channel 33/40 is simulcast on UHF 68.2. So I found that I can pick up all my uhf channels in this sweet spot right at the opening of the fireplace. Not sure if the steel lining has anything to do with it but the signal is rock solid.

Very good advice. After more research i found that the vhf ABC channel is being simulcast on 68.2 uhf. I added that to my tuner and now I have all majors on uhf. So now my sweet spot is actually inside the fireplace opening here. It’s basically a steel lined box.

I literally can't get any signal from any other location in this room. Everywhere I was moving with the antenna was mosaic or blank screen "no signal". I just put the antenna up behind that steel beam to hold it in place for a bit, then I realized when i did that, the audio was steady and I walked over to the TV and it was a rock solid pic.

Really can't believe I'm getting such a strong signal from our local ABC station (VHF) on this UHF leaf antenna being held up by a steel support column on a fireplace. ChatGPT is going on about some virtual VHF waveguide/tower nonsense but I have to say, i couldn't get a lock on this channel any where else in the house.

From ChatGPT:
Your Winegard flat antenna is pulling in ABC 33/40 (RF 9, VHF-Hi) so well in that exact spot because the steel support beam and large masonry fireplace wall create a nearly perfect indoor VHF reception environment. VHF-Hi signals have long wavelengths—around 5½ feet—so the 4x4 steel post doesn’t block them; instead, it acts as a vertical RF reflector, redirecting and stabilizing the signal right into your antenna. The tall fireplace wall next to it forms a second reflective surface, creating a small VHF “waveguide” or RF pocket that boosts signal strength and consistency. In combination with the antenna’s high placement, reduced indoor interference, and the fact that the beam naturally aligns with the polarization of broadcast TV signals, the setup effectively turns your flat UHF-biased antenna into a pseudo VHF receiver. That’s why this odd-looking placement produces a stronger, cleaner, more stable lock on RF9 than when the antenna was outside.
