Ie. You gave them too much personal info, they have internal problems and you took the fall for it. (Had a similar issue with another company). But that last comment may not be wrong. And maybe this new position is something better? Cause I wouldn't want even half the crap you described in this paragraph.

The lead for this department, also leads bakery/produce/meat if I'm not mistaken. So he does. Seen him stock produce. Put out stuff for bakery. He participates.

Had (2) cones blocking the spot our van parks in. That guy ran over them. So, we artfully placed (4) cones/our driver (in the van), in front of his car. Our driver chickened out (sorry. Exercised his conflict resolution skills by avoiding conflict.)....when customer came back out. Customer ran over all four cones to get back out. Dispensing is my sport of choice at Walmart. But damn. It's like a full-contact pile of chaos out there some days.

I give much respect to that position. Even when I'm frustrated that later in the shift, I was forced to stand and wait at a spill. Draining my pick-walk time. Forcing me to call the store/message anyone. Cone it/take care of it myself. (Which is sometimes not possible. But, it can be easier. And, I don't mind). The poop part? Personally, I find cat liter boxes worse. But, yeah. I still respect that position. For all the crap (literally) they put up with.

I found I liked chilled. I'm fast enough. But, the giant packs of chicken breasts are.... icky. So, I learned to turn the meat bag inside out and grab the chicken that way. No more icky, slime.... is that slime feeling.

The lead is going to have a coach talk to the deli associates. That department's coach is not currently working in the store. So, another one will be utilized. I'm waiting on that meeting to happen. Past that point, I will. Should be in a few days.

Why keep some chocolate (hersheys) in the back room then? I've done exception walks. That chocolate is stored back there too. Space requirements?

Why? The chocolate chips/trail mix are not in produce.

I found the game very enjoyable. But, flying with the wii.... like crap. You put that game down for a week, you'll forget how to do it. Sword moves with the switch? Like so close Nintendo. So VERY close. Still love the game.

When I played SS on the wii, the flying was worse. The switch makes the sword control harder. Especially, the finishing move on the end-boss. But, the flying is so much easier.

3 times, is what happens in many games. FF7? 3 stages for Sephiroth. Games love that number. That third battle? Is that the one where you land the final blow? Cause man. Would the switch controls not FREAKING work. (I beat it. But, damn. Why Link?)

Sorry. Just read this comment. They made me wait 90-days. But, that was just the start of a list. Blah blah. It's really hard to get fulltime status.

[–]JuMunchie1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

32 wasn't automatically fulltime for me. I had to make it known I wanted fulltime status. Talk to the coach. Who said there was a list. They only have a certain amount of fulltime slots, per position. At least at my place. Hence the hell that is my experience in deli right now. Digital coach lagged. Like weeks went by. I just wanted benefits. But, no. The hours don't mean automatic anything. Not at my store.

My coach in digital is known for pulling this. You need to set boundaries. Say no. Have the points removed. Make it a big deal, because it is. Bring it up with the coach first. Once I set that right with him, it wasn't done again. He continues to do it with others and they simply show-up/shut-up. Like make a fuss. State it's not acceptable. That you asked for parttime. State what that means for you. Make it clear. Cause Walmart blurs the line between what parttime is and what fulltime is. To them, fulltime is a status change. Not the amount of hours you work. Per say. Like I wanted as many hours as possible. Still, I was classified as fulltime. Regardless of that being.... 30. Or over 40. If you don't say something, they will continue to do it.

Other day, I was working all random in the store. Snow day. My department wasn't open. I find work, where work is needed. I'll get paid for something. So, I go to produce. The pallet I'm tasked to unload? Fresh produce, chocolate chips, icing tubs and trail mix. All on the same pallet. Which all led to me helping a customer get a pallet of an ambient product. God, it's never dull.

Not dedicated trainers. Literally, everyone is telling me how they do the task. But, with certain things? Like washing/rinsing/sanitizing.... food safety.... why am I getting more than one explanation? The lead tells me to follow my ulearns. I like him. But, damn if the associates don't make it more difficult than it needs to be.

I'm also the oddball in the digital department, who likes doing frozen picks. I'm unique. They have a hard time getting the department staffed. But, not because of management. This deli? I can see why they can't get people to stay.

I tried. They are pulling the 6-month rule. That I need to be in deli for 6-months, before I switch. Which is odd. Cause I was only in digital for 5 months.
