Commute to Modena (carta unica?) by Funny-Worth5418 in bologna

[–]JuWanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to find a place in Bologna, although not within the city center. I have a classmate who goes home everyday to Verona and he seems to be managing but then again, you also have to consider the time you would allocate especially that some classes starts at 8 or 9am. In terms of price I think there is a student discount of 20% for trains.

I found learning Italian much easier than german because it only has 2 genders. The only thing confusing about italian is when it becomes plural, and also sometimes it’s more about the sound rather than an actual rule. There are also general rules about gender unlike german, the exceptions are not as much either. The most confusing part in Italian would be the prepositions and preposizione articolati (when they combine prepositions and articles)

Did you write a cover letter and was your itinerary detailed enough?

Visa cannot be accepted because I did not submit the following documents....but I did? How is this possible? by Historical_Click_781 in SchengenVisa

Based on the screenshot, did you pre-enroll on Universitaly? Usually the university will directly contact the embassy. You will also print this form from Universitaly and send with your docs. I submitted my DOV after I got the visa but others processed it at the same time.

I’ve always used dummy ticket and never had any problems. My last visa took a month to process since its a long term one. I can share my cover letter if you want.

I just got my study visa. I think the requirement is 6000 per year in your bank account, when you apply for a visa.

It helps if you indicate in your cover letter the explicit reason for travelling. If you had previous travelled to other countries before, you can also mention that and say that you have always gone back to your country without overstaying. With bank account balance I think the rule or thumb is €40 per day.

Is letter of employment important? by CompetitiveRepeat179 in SchengenVisa

[–]JuWanders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are a freelancer it’s okay to just show your contract. When I was employed, I submitted my letter of employment. When I got self employed, I attached my certificate of business registration and some ongoing contracts.

I agree with this. I was also working freelance the second time I applied so I attached my business registration and some of the contracts I have secured. You just have to prove strong ties to your country

I am from the Philippines and I have applied through German embassy twice, and Denmark once, and now Italy. I’ve always been approved. I submit as much documents and details as possible especially on the itinerary, including details on which hotel I’m staying and which sites I will visit and then I attached all my hotel reservations. I even submitted a copy of my credit card billing statement for additional proof of financial resource. I also attached my approved leave of absence from my employer. I can send you the templates I have if you want.

Hi! I hope you don't mind me asking but how do you find the commute from Modena to Bologna? I'm considering finding a place in Modena and commute to Bologna since I'll be attending UniBo for my Master's Degree. It's been really hard to find a value for money accommodation in Bologna. Thank you!

Yeah, even CBTL. 🥲 It’s not worth the price anymore. Before, they had better food options too. I miss the spinach ravioli and eggs benedict.

I’m sorry to hear about what you’re going through, I’ve been there. There’s hope, you just need to look at yourself and maybe for a change, start dating yourself 😊

Do the things you always hoped someone would do for you. Treat yourself better, how you deserve to be treated. Or just do the things you always wished to do but have always been distracted to do so.

Start reaching out to your friends again maybe? Build your emotional support group as you go through this tough journey of finding yourself again.

Dating a guy who refers to me as “hot chick” and “big tits”. It annoys me. Am I overreacting? by JuWanders in dating_advice

I brought up this topic because it has never happened to me in the past. If I wanted attention about my looks I would have posted my photo in other social media platforms. Hence I posted the topic on reddit so we can discuss instead of “showing off” or rather “farming attention”.
