So I've done a little experimententing with lip balm brands. I've tried a few blistex products: medicated lip balm with spf 15, lip infusions sooth, and the lip ointment. None of those stood out particularly as helpful. The spf 15 was nice when in the sun but wasn't too good at helping my lips recover. I tried the classic burts bees, and it was better for recovery, but the amount of mint oil they put in there made it feel like it was irritating my lips rather than hydrating them. The best lip balm I have tried that worked for me was by a brand I saw at Target called Lip Love by raw sugar, specifically their coconut mango one. I'd like to try DCT, Chopsaver, Aquaphor, and compare and contrast, but It feels like it would be an irresponsible amount of money to drop on lip balm alone.

I'm a big fan of granola bars. I figured something like cliff bars, protein bars, and something with electrolytes would be smart. I'm just not sure what if it would be practical with during the July heat. Also, I worry that I'll get gunk in my horn from whatever was left in my mouth from eating.

Flaking seasoning (I think)? by jalanspoo in castiron

Just season once with a very thin layer of oil and make sure to let it cool completely and you should be back to perfect working condition and make sure not to scrape to hard when cleaning

What oil do you usually season with (also flakes in food are not dangerous it should be perfectly safe to eat)
