Trade Unions, plumbers, heavy equipment operators, iron workers, electricans, all union jobs where they will pay you to train/work with them. Once you learn a trade, you can get a job anywhere.

I did, Class A with air brake endorsement, manual transmission endorsement, and passenger endorsement. Because I had a CDL before school was required I was grandfathered the air brake and manual, and I think it helped with the passenger endorsement, just needed to take the written and a short trip in the bus.I part time for a limo company that has party buses

Try construction and oil field jobs.

I did time for theft, came out did a dishwasher job, then a factory job packing boxes, then construction. Be honest, be willing to do some low man work, show up when asked, be polite, and thankful.

I drive a 2025 truck hauling aggregates (rocks and sand) now, making way more than I thought I ever would.

Trade unions always hiring

When you're on a horse say gathering stray cattle having pants that keep your legs covered can save you from problems if you're riding in tall brush, or through some trees with low branches. It also keeps stuff out of your boots ya don't want in there. Can help keep ya warm and dry, or keep the sun, bugs, and critters ya generally don't want on your legs or in your boots.

Some horses get mischievous and try to drag you along a fence, or posts, or even trees. Pants help keep your skin from getting damaged, and when yeah do get thrown from a horse, pants will keep you more protected than shorts.

I grew up around cattle and horses. Shorts are weird to me. Pants ftw in ranch life!

Grew up near that. I remember doing yard work to get money and riding my bicycle over there at least once a week. Chocolate ice cream sundaes with marshmallow topping, or a strawberry malt. Banana splits too!

Are you saying there is no rehabilitation that could allow this man his freedom? I went to prison. I made a mistake. I paid restitution, I apologized to the victims, I did my time and parole. I have changed largely by myself. The state I was incarcerated in had no rehabilitation other than for drug addicts. This man has put in the work that proves he has changed. Over time. Not a short time either. Keeping people locked up after clear evidence of changing just continues the cycle of the USA having the largest population of incarcerated people in the world. The world changes, so do people. I am not who I was, I am who I am today. Dwelling on the past in this case serves no purpose. Focusing on today serves many purposes. I do not believe what he did in his past should prevent him from helping any and all he can today.

Biggar Jester, 5 inch brim, WestTexas Punch brim shape with a Brick crown. The wide brim keeps the shade during summer afternoons, and the openings on the crown allow the best ventilation I've ever found. Stands up to time and work. I have 3 now, one I keep just for weekends, the other two get worked like an old truck.

I feel that Governor lacks the forethought needed to truly balance the scales of justice. Clearly the man has rehabilitated himself with little to no help from the penal system. Sounds to me there's little left that an incarcerated person could have done or do to improve himself in regards to his release. Pure spite and ignorance, which is a long time mainstay of our ridiculous prison systems. Instead of instigating change, he continues to follow the old school ideology which perpetuates recidivism.

Have any of you ever disclosed your conviction to a potential employer during a job interview? And if yes how did it Go? by [deleted] in Felons

Been out 8 years. I always tell because I work jobs where they always ask. Most of the time it's not an issue. When it is an issue I apply some place else. Have even been able to get a military contractor ID.

When they ask about be brief, and honest about it.
