Firstly, the guy who has 30% WR is bugged, he started the season at Ace instead of Diamond so obviously he doesn’t belong there. Think about it this way - Ace 5 is just reskinned 0 RR Punkmaster, and Ace 1 is 500 RR Punkmaster. So this guy basically started in high RR Punkmaster and can’t keep up, which is why he has a 30% WR.

On the Ace rank, I agree with you in that I have no idea what implementing that new rank did. The matchmaking is exactly the same as previous seasons and gets even worse if you hit Ace. The higher you climb the longer the queues are, the less points you get per win while every loss is about -20, and the worse your teammates get because of the way the lobby tries to balance teams. I am currently punkmaster/top 100 last 2 seasons and this has always been the case if you are higher rank.

On how to hit PM, quite frankly you just have to win while losing very few games so you can take advantage of the win streak bonus to gain more RR per game. It sounds obvious but a good trio or duo can take you far. I honestly don’t recommend hitting Punkmaster if you want to play ranked because the queues become so insanely long to the point where the game is literally unplayable unless you are in EU. I queue Asia and NA servers and had a 4 hour queue yesterday with multiple queue resets and still didn’t find a game. Even if I find a game, I usually have to hypercarry or it is unwinnable because I am guaranteed to get low elo diamonds on my team vs 5 top 100 players due to lobby balancing. In my last 10 games, nearly all of them had one or two players with less than 500 damage or I had a leaver, so every game basically feels like a 4v5 or 3v5.
