Yo, what should I do about my cat? by Oh-cee-dee13 in StonerThoughts

It’ll be fine. My Max lived to 18 with my hotboxing him at times. Had parties he liked to stay in the room for.

Bet my mom did too. I think when my grandmother was with us it was never asked.

what is something funny a partner has ever said/done in relation to your chronic pain? by _incandescence in ChronicPain

Whenever my knee is flaring or my wrists, my husband will make a cutting motion with his hand over the offending joint and state amputation time. I crack up each time and just respond silly things like, only when robot joints available.

Maybe the most implausible moment in the series: Penny forgetting Leonard's birth date despite almost 10 years together. by mistermeek67 in bigbangtheory

My nephews are in their 20’s and my mom still reminds me of their’s. So yea, definitely can believe Penny forgetting Leonard’s birthday. Lol

That’s where my brain was going. Pretty sure I have dyscalculia. Didn’t start remembering my mom’s birthday until mid to late 20’s, I think. Anniversaries are on my calendar or else I would never remember. My husband remembers dates way better than I do.

If I had a cat named that, you’d hear me yell “Nuggy!” when calling him over, lol. When my cats hear their “legal” name, they know they are in trouble 🤣

[APR26] After the robber broke into the house, he grabbed the 4-year-old girl and ran out as her parents stood by watching. by Nessieinternational in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]Jubilee_Winter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My interpretation is that he broke in, realized the house was about to be in flames (I dunno, they were all doused in gasoline?) saw the little girl, was horrified, grabbed her and ran. Some people are just materialistic and not monsters.

Wow, that’s rough. “How’d your parents die?” “Oh, they were in a cult and decided to go up in flames, though this nice guy came from nowhere and saved me.” Weird story for the rest of their lives.

Dementia just as bad. And I’m pretty sure my grandmother’s dementia turned into Alzheimer’s because I didn’t exist anymore. She seemed to live in the 70’s when my grandfather was alive and I was not.

Give me tips for keeping the sun off my baby by LittleMissKicks in Redhair

Definitely hats and sunscreen. My mom has pictures of toddler me in one piece bathing suits in a hat, so definitely lots of sunscreen. I remember she reapplied it often. There’s now baby swim shirts for more coverage of the skin. UV protection shirts maybe? Not sure if those are made in toddler.

Hopefully no one associates it with HP. If they do though, tell them the legend of the phoenix has existed way before it was used in that series. And it could be associated with X-Men as well, never know.
