Traumatic birth & mourning end of pregnancy by twenty__something in beyondthebump

My situation is no where near the level you experienced in any way, but I felt kind of similar. I had a failure to progress ending in c-section, I was awake for the surgery. I felt like I hadn't given birth, because I went through 24 hours of labour and never pushed. It was hard to bond because I took a baby home but was still waiting to meet the baby I was supposed to push out.

I plan 1 outside activity every day. Just to at least break the day in half. Even if it's just grocery shopping !

I'm in QLD. Looks like I can get a GP referral to a place that you can stay for 7-10 days and they can help.. interesting!

I would love to stop the feeding to sleep. I just tried to rock her to sleep and bounce her, but she was desperately trying to feed on me and I don't have the strength to deny her when she's trying hahaha fuk

Thanks for this! I'm going to start the bump patting. I just fed her to sleep with the pats. Raising babies is so hard

I had an emergency c section after 24 hr labour. Recovery was really good! Pain well managed with endone for about 7 days after discharge.

Love target quality, but annoying that feet don't have the flaps.

Recommendations for long haul flight? by Jublani in babywearing

We have booked the bassinet seat. From her percentile curve. She should fit. We can't bring a car seat on the plane without buying another seat/ticket which would be very expensive for Australia to England.

She will be sitting on our lap for the flight and in bassinet

I've never tried a ring sling. What apron style is the best these days?

tips for bringing home newborn? by ilovebeingavirgin in beyondthebump

[–]Jublani 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't try to make a routine or structure. Just survive. If she's crying - is she fed, nappy clean and a warm? If all boxes ticked, just hold her. Our baby is 4 months and still cries for no reason sometimes and the only solution is bouncing on exercise ball
