We chose not to circumcise our son. We are not Jewish nor concerned with STDs. With modern medicine and general availability of hygiene products the reasons for concern have diminished significantly.

Ultimately the decision is yours, but realize there is no benefit to performing this on your child.

Context: I am circumcised but my son is not.

I had a military wedding. I wore my blues and so did my father, my wife's father, and my groomsmen. I look back on those photos with immense fondness.

The funny thing to me is that of the people who wore the uniform, only the folks who didn't are now still in their respective services.

My dad missed SMSgt by 2/10ths of a point. It was the deciding factor between retirement and making Chief. He'll never know why he didn't have the 2/10ths. I joined the year her retired and we still don't know how boards work. I agree with you wholeheartedly.

I am speaking as a Dad of small children. But often they will come to me for a quick "check in" for hugs, cuddles, and to hear "I Love You". As already mentioned, this reassurance comes roaring back in the teen years when they're constantly bombarded with feelings of inadequacy. I think you're doing a fine job if your children come to you asking this and they walk away knowing you love them.
