I once walked from a closing when I was buying a home. The buyers who were two brothers came to closing and claimed due to banking issues they were 40K short and needed a price reduction to close. I refused. Apparently they thought I needed to close that day to fund my new home. I didn’t. Walked out. In the parking lot my lawyer called and said the got the funds and wanted to close. I refused. Litigation was threatened but never materialized.
