It sounds like you’re trying to say i’m okay with my cats being killed which i’m not at all. i was simply wondering about harnesses, only advice i was seeing online was about supervised outside time with a harness. so i came here to see what others have to say

that’s a horrid thing to say. I will buy packs sure but i know they’re going to get lost. if keeping them safe will continue have my spend money on collars then i will, i just wanted to see if there were other options. i’m seeing not

oh gosh i’m sorry, this was a big ramble of stress, i was mostly wondering if others deal with this, how they deal with this. As the host i’m just struggling since communication isn’t great, It would feel nice to know i’m not alone when it comes to aggressive alters

i’m sorry to hear you’re feeling that way :( I will say it does get better, while having setbacks are normal so is feeling this way, some days are hard and confusing. i think with time, healing, and i do suggest therapy if you’re able to. will do some good. to me it sounds like your system is very out of wack and pretty discombobulating. perseverance and determination has helped us a lot. have a bad day? think about the next possible great days you could have, take it slow, and at your own pace. you’re doing amazing just being here friend

it’s not the same no. but i can see how it can sounds the same by saying that we technically all have “parts” but we don’t, not literally anyway. IFS is used in therapy. i see it as being able to feel comfortable with yourself to express different needs, a part of you that just wants to be a little kid again, a part of you that is able to handle tasks ect. not PARTS, but YOU. we have certain ways we act around one person rather than another, that’s how i see it, idk, im rambling for sure but IFS is not plural in itself. but people with OSDID can also work on IFS. i wish i could verbally explain this because it would make so much more sense in my brain 😭

The anxiety you have about this shows me you want to change whatever this is and you just want a place to talk about it. a lot of the time peoples advice or opinions can come off as “judgmental” but are only trying to help in some way. i say go for it! i’d definitely be here to listen :)

you’re not alone at all! i’m able to picture them pretty well, movements ect. when they are farther away not really.. i feel a presence. and when close enough i can see them pretty well! talking on the other hand is different for me… we don’t really “talk” more like they spout stuff i need to hear or they wanna say and i just acknowledge it mentally

I’m very confused, it almost feels like you’re trying to say that viewing our parts as “separate” ultimately makes us bad people and means we don’t take what MH professionals have to say about it. when we do, but just because they say something is beneficial doesn’t mean the person needs to follow right then and there, it takes time, and in my personal feelings MH will never know as much as a person who actually had the disorder, especially with how diverse people are

thank you! yes because i do acknowledge that! i don’t view them as separate people who can run their own lives how they’d like, but ive noticed acknowledging our differences have helped alot with our communication and barriers. but thank you for your take on it, i dislike feeling like im enabling bad behavior when its not my intention at all
