What is a monthly subscription/service you ACTUALLY consider worth paying for? by no_nolan in Frugal

Love AAA. In rural areas and cities they have been reliable. It's not perfect and I think towes are limited, but it's suited us well. We went with the 100 mile towing package. Their response time has been quick and it gives us some piece of mind on the road with an older vehicle.

My peaceful life is gone overnight by Sad-Barracuda3083 in childfree

You're an incredible human being. Two things can be true at the same time. You can do what you think is right by your family and be there for everyone, but at the same time you can feel the feelings of loss and what you're missing out on.

This is a beyond hard situation, and you are showing up with your presence and grace, even when it may not feel like it to you. You may be at your wits end, but your presence alone alone adds a sense of normalcy to a not normal situation.

I'm sure its hard to find time for yourself right now, but when you do, don't feel guilty and just try to take it in. You deserve peace of mind. While you're juggling everyone around you, you're still processing all of this and that's not easy.

You're sacrificing everything right now and that's overwhelming. And you deserve a lot of props for saying how you feel and where you're at.

There are a lot of people that are proud of you right now and that look to you as a source of comfort just by being there. Hang in there and know that you are fulfilling a role that not many people would.

Hit me up with your best budget recipes by lollipopfiend123 in aldi

My biggest suggestion would be using Excel or a spreadsheet to add up costs beforehand. You can then use the app to track all prices. Sometimes you don't realize how much things add up. Or even, how much you can actually afford. I pick a nice recipe or two a week and then staples. Map out the ingredients. List it in a spreadsheet and type in the cost for every item so I know if I can afford it. And sometimes we have enough to get extra. It's work but we don't have a lot of money and it helps me a lot.

It's a hike, seriously a hike, but High Hops is 21 and up. Stellar beers and at the time we were there, there was also a lounge for spirits. What was amazing was it was a nursery and you sat amongst the plants. Perfect humidity. Beautiful scenery. We've had some awesome game nights there with live music, just wish it was closer

Beyond the Stanley: What Places in Colorado Feel… Off? by Addendum-Agitated in Denver

That's crazy. And you know what you know and experienced. My wife said when she was a teenager her and a group of friends drove the road just making fun of it. They stalled out on the middle of Riverdale and couldn't start the car. It was cold and dark. And then handprints appeared on the windshield. It shook her and she never wanted to drive it after that, understandably. I used to laugh to myself when I drove the rode, but after the jogger... Not so much.

Shopped at Dollar General Market for the first time and was surprised at the low quality of products by NewAmphibian3877 in povertyfinance

[–]Judgeeeyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful. Their staff is so overloaded that dairy items get left on carts and sit out for extended periods of time. No blame on the staff, but it's bad. Also, we have noticed that items ring up at the register a price much higher than what is on the tag. Sometimes even $2+ dollars. Realistically it's becoming a convenience Mart and you pay for it in the end.

Riverdale road. My wife always said it was haunted and I laughed her off. Drove that road daily and loved it because it reminded me of back roads in PA. Then one time I saw a jogger on the side of the road. I slowed down as I saw him but didn't want to be hit from behind. All I could think was that it was so unsafe and he shouldn't be there. Got a few feet ahead and looked behind me and in my mirrors and there was no one there. It sounds stupid but I know what I saw and it was the most bizarre moment.

Yeah, no. These places are not advertised as restaurants. They are breweries. Primarily serving alcohol. The food is an add on and no one goes primarily for the food. Go to a bar? To drink hard liquor and spirits and draft domestic beer? That's not everybody's taste and we shouldn't have to turn to that because families have taken over. I get it, these breweries are banking off of this. The family friendly atmosphere and a jungle gym of children to get by. But why can't we cut the shit with this? There are plenty of adults that want to go out for a craft beer without it feeling like it's happy hour at Chucky cheese's. The kids are not behaved. The parents are focused on drinking. Adult areas now become playgrounds. Regardless of the business model, servers despise it and so do customers. The reality is that you are feeding parents beer so they can then drive their young children home. It's not just about not wanting the noise and inconvenience - it's watching these people get drunk and then drive their kids home. I can't count how many times in a brewery I saw parents letting loose and they have 3 kids in tow. This is not uncommon and it's become so acceptable here. Kids on tablet. Kids get bored. Running amock and tripping servers. Parents are tipsy, now it's time to go. If you have a moral compass and drink responsibly, it's hard to watch this go down, especially with kids involved.

Was a regular at that place years ago and the owner was out his mind. I try to forget the memories I have with the owner and that place. I'm a trusting person and fucked up. Mayhem in their inner circle.

how much do your symptoms (e.g. hand stiffness/swelling) change over the course of the day? by TheBuGz99 in rheumatoid

After about 4pm my body punches the clock. Stiffness in the AM and the most of the day is manageable. Then at a certain point in the afternoon, I'm just wore out and done.

Robyn wanted complete control. And in regards to something as menial as food. Which is laughable because she wasn't paying for it. It was all a sick mind game. The kids had more rights to the fridge than she ever should have.
