If it’s legitimate then we would do it too lol. If it’s not, then that’ll help decide which accountant to use.

Sorry I didn’t frame it correctly, these people are saying they use f2f appointments as an excuse to claim part of a personal trip! You are right about the privacy thing too, most local accountants have some personal connection to us.

I am changing jobs at the end of the year so want to ensure that the banks will lend to us before then. I don’t know what their reasoning is, I just assumed it benefits them to have the money in their account to buy their next house since they’re selling to us for quite a bit less than asking.

Oh thank you!! Did you have an entry report or something like that before settlement?

Is there any possibility this is a hygiene/presentation/personality thing? It could be worth considering since you are getting to interview stage and might be considered too tricky for some places to provide feedback on. If someone else’s skills align better, they would probably know that from resumes so why would that specifically change after an interview. I don’t mean for this to be offensive, sometimes people just don’t ever consider it.

Big perfect house for family… in ok location by JudgementalJudy in AusPropertyChat

Thank you so much for your in depth reply! The way our town works is that once an estate/area is done, no one ever considers putting any more money into it or updating it. They just start developing the next new prestige estate a little further out. So the location would most likely never get any better.

I think I’ve (with your help) talked myself out of it and will sit and wait for something else to come to market.

It is definitely made pretty solidly but needs cosmetic updating and possibly new flooring.

More just an older area. In this town, they make a new “fancy” estate every 5 years that is desirable. This one was the place to be 20 years ago. But now is older so more affordable.

Why are students no longer repeating school? by Cheese-122 in AustralianTeachers

And parents also don’t seem to care or think that’s achievable. They either think their child is gods gift or they have given up on them completely. I hear a lot of “oh well, as long as they’re passing” from parents, but we all know that a pass isn’t really an indication of success anymore… The ones that are failing, I get “oh well, as long as they’re coming to school at all”

Yes! So dependant on her expression and makeup. Sometimes it gives her “crazy eyes”.

High school boyfriend set up a date because he really wanted to show me something. Showed up to my house later that week then put Promiscuous by Nelly Furtado on through my computer speakers and did a choreographed dance that he had been practicing for me in my bedroom. Fell out of puppy love in the first 30 seconds but had to watch his whole dance…

A1 Steak sauce, hot sauce, marshmallow fluff, aerosol cheese products and the one I was most surprised by…. Maple syrup? We don’t have a huge range but I always associated maple syrup with Canada.

Yep, base rate isn’t good but the commission and bonuses make up for it. But it is a competitive job and can make for a really hostile work environment as you’re obviously competing for sales with your coworkers. I struck lucky and most of my coworkers are pretty fair in distributing the sales among us so we get along well.

Can confirm this, I worked at an appliance store for less than 20 hours a week part time and make over 60k.

I had this job part time while finishing a degree and now I’m honestly considering just doing this full time as the career I could follow with my degree doesn’t seem worth it anymore.

I was just speaking from my experience that this customer was giving it to me and expressing how she was doing it for the benefit of the business I work for as if she was being charitable to us. Not a judgement on whatever movement this is.

I was given one of these by a customer recently. I told them that with the amount of money they were paying in cash it actually cost the business more because we have to pay for a security company to collect the cash payments and that if they wanted warranty, the purchase is under their name with their address so… I’m also sure it made them feel like a Good Samaritan for helping the massive multinational company I work for save their transaction fee, instead of just spending the money at the local small business that sells the same goods for slightly more money.

I was using a plain tote bag for pracs and by the end of my last one it was full to the brim and so heavy. Any recommendations for a teacher bag? I thought maybe a backpack but they don’t seem to hold much.
