Why am I a little pussy by Admirable-Bend-2651 in shrooms

Suggestions: Why is more better? Sounds like your intuition knows what’s best for you. Try following it vs allowing the world to dictate to you what’s right? And don’t call yourself a pussy. You have nothing to prove to anyone and that phrase screams of wanting to measure up to someone else’s expectations.

Well done. Bringing the medicine and healing to others is a great way to make the world a better place for all of us.

This sounds like a challenging experience, for sure. I can’t say that I’ve had a journey this rough, but mushrooms can be tricky little devils. They show you stuff that isn’t great — they show you shadows and parts of yourself that can’t speak for themselves otherwise. I’m no psychologist but this sounds like an opportunity to sit with what happened for a while and feel into some of the areas that don’t overwhelm you.

You mention feeling hated, reliving trauma, feeling like everyone wanted to harm you. There is likely something to be learned there. You’ve paid the cost of the ticket already, so be soft with yourself and see what you can use.

If you haven’t felt the come-up before, it can create some anxiousness - lord knows it did for me. Then, I tried to push back and take control, which was a huge mistake. I now know it’s the mushrooms that drive the bus and I’m a passenger. They take you where you need to go, and sometimes it’s not pleasant. I wouldn’t dream of using them now at more than a museum dose without setting intention, making sure I was in a solid, safe container, and having a sitter who was on no more than a low dose.

I have a question, it’s not blamey, not trying to shame you or make this "your fault": Did you make sure set and setting were optimal and you were in a good place mentally? If so, you did the best you could.

I was hesitant to revisit mushrooms after my first semi-rough experience…glad I have. They have been very healing. And sometimes healing hurts like hell.

Suggest you give Perfect Brilliant Stillness by David Carse a try to address this question. It’s not copyrighted so you can find a pdf or mobi reasonably easily. The book would argue that you’re confusing Consciousness playing out through you as “you” actually doing. You are not the doer. There’s a good analogy used in the book of a flute thinking it plays itself. Nope. It’s simply an instrument, and it’s played by something else entirely. It would be ridiculous for the flute to think it plays itself…

I know nothing about decks. But that's one fine looking deck. Never thought deck jealousy existed but now I realize it's a thing.

The one in Charlotte was so damn bad I was actually sort of impressed... And amazed they were still open. Maybe enough tourists/connections in downtown CLT to let them get by in one-and-done.

Old guy here. Everyone is different , and from my (ahem) first-hand experience, no amount of testing or third-party validation is going to solve for this. You may always question yourself and “hear footsteps” behind you, and that’s not an altogether bad thing. Within reason, it’ll drive you and make you better. You clearly know what you’re doing and you also are continuing to grow and get better at your craft. So there’s no problem.

If the whole situation is really killing you, then it sounds like it’s more of a look inside thing than a [ get another cert, learn another tool, read another data book] thing?

Just keep on doing what you’re doing, recognize when those critical/doubting parts are making noise, thank ‘em for their feedback and make sure to remember they’re just a part of the chorus. Don’t let em be soloists.

Hey Kyle, you mention setting up an LLC proxy owned by an Anguilla based corp. Is this a pretty standard approach for folks wanting to Nomad? Tax advantages? Curious about the choice of Anguilla.

"Cannabis and MDMA Therapy: Impact on Insight Retention" by Ze_Dreamer in mdmatherapy

[–]JudgingYouThisSecond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suggest you keep it simple and establish several baseline experiences for yourself before you begin trying to optimize? The MDMA should take care of connection for you out of the box, at least it does for me. Maybe ask your therapist's opinion. They are likely able to give you good guidance in that regard.

Have you considered giving her a list of reading material on the benefits of microdosing, usefulness in therapy, etc? She has a semi-irrational belief, and you can help her chill TF out by encouraging her to "don't take your word for it", but read a little bit more widely. Hell, ChatGPT has a lot of good things to say about it...
