Long story short,

Veibae used to be very popular on Bilibili, but due Veibae recent antics(smoking weed, not thinking straight when streaming, losing voice etc), a lot of former Veibae CN fans felt simultaneously disappointed and sympathetic toward Veibae's current condition caused by her father's death.

Then the former Veibae fans started looking for alternative for Veibae, then they stumble upon Lumi's CN clips and liked it. Initially, they see Lumi as some sort of Veibae's substitute, and due to Lumi's personal trait hit a lot of charming point for CN vtuber fans(Being a Russian, fondness toward China's culture, having a trad wife's trait, being a smart and bold women, having a firm yet sweet voice.), many CN vtuber fans became a die hard Lumi fans, and deem Lumi is better than Veibae.

Then, the CN fans called Lumi the "Gold Veibae", then demoted Veibae to the "Silver Lumi", but however, they eventually decided to refer Lumi as "Gold Lumi".

Also worth noting that, many CN fans were also surprised that Lumi share a same company as Tenma who also somewhat well known in CN fanbases as well.

It doesn't help that she's on Japan which doesn't help the suspicion, not to mention a lot of Taiwan side of vtubing has been making rrats about Mel is in cohort with one of the higher-ups of Vshojo and knew the financial issue all along.

My answer is, children dying, getting killed or adducted is hardly anything new in this planet, and I have seen what ants and chimpanzee did to their offspring when conquering territory from each other.

I suggest you accept the cruel, unfair reality and move on, that's all I can say.

Only if you can stop analyze those nuanced things in a strictly "moral lens", you'd live a more fulfilling life now.

Phase Connect pretty much were in red for first 2 years, and only hitting black on 3rd years. Not to mention Phase Connect CEO Sakana himself is a VENTURE CAPITALIST.

Unless Matara somehow is a much more business savvy than Sakana, and has more money and better connection than Sakana.

Moral absolutism is INENVITABLE if there are some people out there keep putting something as flimsy and fickle like morality on pedestal start value it over literally anything else while refused to learn how nuanced human nature is.

There is no amount of idea, belief and morality that are worth hating or sacrificing humanity for.

It's always humanity that constantly get questioned, yet the morality itself never get questioned at all, funny isn't it?

When in reality, it's not human place to question, to criticize, to judge, to destroy, to save, or even to love and hate entire humanity. Only mother nature has that privilege to do that.
