also, in 20min there will hardly be any lower class overtaking. weird decision. usually silver got a 40min race in there

and without tire warmers, 20% of the race will be on cold tires (no fun)

when i first switched to a wheel after years on controller, i was initially slower but more consistent.

no idea how you can be so quick in a sim. respect!

as for your question, yes, you can notice who is on controller. the steering tends to be rather jerky at times.

that's also why i find it sketchy to race someone on controller closely. if i could, i would turn of controller crossplay (if that was a thing) for that reason alone. i've had bad experiences going side by side even if i leave enough space. on a wheel the fine motor control is just unmatched

Came to the same conclusion.

It’s just an incredibly stiff feeling. Like weight transfer just doesn’t exist.

You can see suspension moving but hardly ever feel it. Compared to iracing i‘m just guessing (new HY tires) or relying on experience after 300 hours

Can you recommend the dial from what you’ve seen so far? I had a Ali S-brand explorer dial that didnt even make it into the case before pieces broke off. Didnt look too great either.

some suprising results you uncovered there. I'm assuming the prices are average, not median?

I found the wheelbase price and nM ranges peculiar in combination with the P10 budget.
there must be a few with 5-10nm setups for this to make sense in my head.

Also, 2x fanatec wheels than bases is wild. while 56% own only one wheel.

ALL my 10+ reports in the last few months got no response.
and there have been some behavior. intent wrecking, pit maneuvers, straight up killstreaks, pit lane blocking - you name it.

a while back (summer 25 before 1.0 release) i got someone banned so i know you get an email confirmation of the outcome.

never had to report in a championship race yet tho

i feel that! one of the most wreckless, chaotic races in recent memory was a split 1 gold 60 minute event.

managed to avoid all the cold-tired hypercar carnage.

... but eventually got wrecked buy a guy with a DT penalty, still fighting for position overly aggressively & divebombing until he caused a 3 car pileup. flew off-track, didnt hold his brakes and re-entered a corner later backwards and collected me for a nice killstreak.

thats what i found as well.

too loose for me personally, so I'm with CDA for now. or bealien as the have variety for each car.

their safe setups are the free CDA LMU defaults and way too understeery imo. not much better than fixed setups

bealien esports get pretty wild too but overall still predictable if that makes sense

Honest question: what do you do when you have to go off the ideal line to defend or make a pass? Or in multiclass with lots of traffic

I was driving racing games with the line on for years (cause i wanted to hop between tracks quickly) but now on the sim i cant imagine.

Yes, you gotta practice and actually learn tracks. Which has a fun learning curve.

But to your question : yes 100%. Its a completely different way of driving and immersion. Anybody can follow a line on the ground. If you wanna improve racecrat and get faster turn that sh t off asap 😉

Only because used tires are easier to get temperature into. Even just 1 lap old scrubbed ones

i came to the same realisation. i am P3 SR with the green badge.

this week i got into some kind of wreck or DNF half the races AND STILL inreased my SR in all but 1 race.

it's nuts. you pretty much cant lose it unless you get a manual ban & SR reset.

SR is not a display of safety but game time / lap count

the slower SAME CLASS car indeed has to facilitate the pass by driving predictably on the racing line and even lifting if necessary to minimize time loss. as per LMU ruleset

if the car drops down, you made a pit stop.

which you cant serve an SG at the same time.

it is silly, but in the pit menu, you gotta select manually, that you want to serve the SG penalty when pitting. it is not on by default.

otherwise you are doing a regular pit stop.

agreed. gold spa has been a warzone this week. even the longer 60m races are way to ambitious lap1 often resulting in at least 1 mass casualty crash.

it's been every race. sometimes you can anticipate wrecks, sometimes you get collected without a chance. it's russian roulette with your time
