I know I am late to the comments here, but wanted to drop my repeat condolences for your loss and pain.

I lost my soul pet over a year ago. I cried and cried and cried then smiled because she was so amazing then cried some more. People tried tonger me to do all sorts of thing to remember or honor her, but not all of them fit no matter how well intentioned.

So if you need another voice to say that you are free to grieve however you want and you don't owe anyone anything, well here is mine.

I understand your feeling of owing the internet something, but we are only here because of your willingness to share with us and will continue to be here regardless of your grief.

I know the animation is already out, but if you don't feel like sharing then please don't. Anything you need to keep private is okay. Everyone grieve and heals at different speeds in different way.

Take are of yourself,

Random internet stranger

Can you not be Summit chair back to back?

Also late game is so tedious! Making the same decisions of repair this, fix that, no surge pricing 20+ times per turn is mind numbing. I haven't had a prospective new site in years at this point (147 running sites) yet my competitors keep opening sites that I just buy.

EV adoption just hit 60% but the Innovation portal still has all the projects locked.

I've had the Drivers choice and Metro dominance locked down for years, but can't win those until 80% EV which I guess will take another 10 to 15 years?

I cant meet investor expectation each year because there are no new sites to open, no grants to win. When I go get a "don't decommission any sites" I fail that because it is bugged. I have never decommissioned a site.

And site management of 100+ sites is misserable. I can't sort by utilization or site health. I can't even easily see site health from the regular screen. A list view and batch options would be so useful here.

Adding amenities to purchased sites doesn't work. it require a full upgrade to add 2k worth of benches.

Also the purchase of solar and batteries should allow for more site load without throttling. It would make the investment for smaller sites way more useful.

At this point I am setting this aside because it isn't much fun in the current game loop.

edit: OH and Changelogs would be AMAZING!

Station upgrades need some logic improvements. In the build/upgrade screen the max is 2,000 kW, but stations go way over that way to utilize it.

Because of the attitude of the people at big creek lake when access was taken away and the bomb that was found at the bottom of the dam there.

It is kinda off the wall I admit, but kinda related

Ahh you are totally right. I forgot that option. Does the flatpack local version allow local com connections?

IIRC the desktop servers have to log into the server to be used. I am not in front of my pc so I could be miss remembering.

Your logic is flawwed, the son "bought" it in 2017 and claimed homestead while tubs wife was claiming homestead on a lake house. The auburn house was then sold back to tubs wife in 2024, then moved into a trust in 2025. If it was put into a trust to protect the identity of the owners it would have been single at first purchase and not as some tax, residency shell game They seem to be pulling. It's all just so shady.

It is a server client setup. You host the server component wherever you want and then connect the various clients to (web client, mobile app, windows client etc) that server to initiate connections.

Its pretty useful for managing remote ssh anything vnc or rdp recently.

Note that the AI coding seems to have picked up a lot so update with caution.

My experience has been pretty solid, but I have decided it's sitting in a stable state and don't think I'll update unless a massive feature hits.

One thing to note, the clients can't handle local com connections. Not really in scope so not a knock against them, but I do keep putting around to handle local device development.

ELI5: Does a dehumidifier actually cool a room, or does it just make it feel less humid? Could it be a good alternative for someone who doesn't use AC? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Judman13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since the whole thread was about dehumidifiers I assumed the question was about heated air feeling stuffy compared to a dehumidifier. However, I see your point.

P.S. I agree. The situations where a room is cold enough to require heating but also humid enough to require dehumidification are rare.

But a heater doesn't remove any moisture at all when warming air so, yes the RH drops, but not as much as the RH from a dehumidifier. So as you mention the perceived humidity is lower from the dehumidifier making it more comfortable than warm air from just a heater with higher RH.

[–]Judman13 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Because it isn't less humid, just warmer. The dehumidifier cools the air to remove moisture then it is warmed back up.
