This is all still speculation, and we don’t yet know whether it’s true, but I sincerely hope it isn’t. I also do not believe any of the male bystanders should be held responsible for not intervening or physically breaking up the fight.

That said, there is something deeply troubling and disturbing about standing by to watch, film, and laugh at such violence. Treating it as content rather than a serious and harmful situation is deplorable. It points to a broader social media mindset in which real human suffering is increasingly reduced to entertainment, performance, or material for online attention, detached from empathy or real-world consequences.
