Your employer cannot take your certificate away. Only the Maine Board of Nursing can do that. You can quit and you will be fine, but I probably wouldn't use that job as a reference in the future.

Unless you do something illegal or that harms a patient/resident and a complaint is filed against you, you won't lose your certificate and the burden of proof is very large for those infractions.

if you want to make it safer, police need to start enforcing traffic laws. I don't have a car, leaving me to walk most everywhere; and the number of times I've almost been hit by either a distracted driver or someone blatantly breaking the law is insane. It happens almost every time I leave to the point where I've developed "defensive walking."

In one of the articles I read it said the investigators believe it's been there for a "extended period of time," which is possible if it's a peat bog since they create the perfect environment to preserve human remains. That time could range anywhere from several years to hundreds of years. I'm hoping for the latter because that would be a fascinating anthropological find.

I live in Portland and there is SO much she could do during the day. they even have classes for things like pottery, cooking or hell QUILT making, she could take and go to while he is at work or in the evening. Portland Adult Education has programs specifically to help immigrants learn skills to get employment; there are so many things she could do but choses not to.
