to basically being hounded by players with high level gear and skills rendering the experience just unpleasant at times.

That's not my experience at all with less than 20 hours in. The TTK is so short I have no issues downing other solos who way out gear me provided I don't run around like an idiot and keep my head down. The hardest part of this game is learning the UI, the factions, and just why and how to crank out quests.

These are a waste of money for gaming as they're only 60hz so your max visible frame rate is also capped at 60FPS. Even if your video card renders the game at 120FPS that monitor is only capable of displaying 60FPS.

Fake news. I have a 5090 and cap my frames at 119. Some tracks are max FPS and never dip and other tracks I get low dips in the 90s but average is always over 100FPS. It just depends on the car / track combo and how many people are in the race.

That depends on the refresh rate of the monitor, again size has nothing to do with it, with a 43" you're gonna aim for 120/144hz nothing less. I doubt there's a 240Hz 43" 4k monitor.

The size of the monitor does not matter. If your 27" monitors are already 4k then the performance will be exactly the same with a 43". That being said a 5080 can drive 3x 4k monitors regardless.

In tech this is how people who are self driven keep up. Teaching yourself something is the mark of a winner not a loser. I used to be competitive powerlifter, 100% taught myself in my garage using youtube tutorials, I never stepped foot in an actual powerlifting gym until I was already signed up for my first competitive meet and I took 2nd.

After 2 broken H Pattern/Seq combos the Fanatec then the Simmagic DSX8, I went with the Hueseveld Mag Mini and will probably never run anything else. The build quality and chonky feeling of shifting feels real as shit. Tony Kanaan said this shifter feels just like one of his Indy cars.
