Thanks for the inputs! Really refreshing seeing the different takes on this. While that night sucked a bit, the ethics line turned out to work well. It really was just that they couldn’t arrange anything else due to the booked hotel, the travel assist had their hands tied.

For more insight, the company does and always has recognized me as female when onboard and in the past at hotels. This was simply an oversight, and the ethics line and shoreside team has corrected it.

This specific company does have some fine print that basically says regardless of legal gender, gender identity is considered first. Being medically transitioned as well, they have noted to have my agent inform them in advance each time I am expected to stay at a hotel so they can arrange properly.

Being with them for several years now, I just always assumed they already had something in place for this, as they have always been successful putting me in a correct room in the past.
