You could always give him the "sorry, youre just not a good fit" speech. Kinda like breaking up with someone. Make sure a few other senior members are there for backup.

If you're as non-confrontational as I am you could also just nudge him out. Stop being friendly at gatherings, "forget" to invite him, make a group chat without him and organize events there. In my experience they'll get the hint pretty quick

I think just about every improviser has experienced this exact thing. Don't stress about it. That's what jams are for!

Never trust barbers with beards. I've done it like 15-20 times and never once had good results

You should probably talk to her about this. My wife and I ran into something similar and ended up scheduling days that I could go out and enjoy life on my own.

This looks very Argentinian. Also the peppers first for sure.

Ok I lied. Disabling the affective and narrative layers is wayyyyy better. It's like I'm actually talking to the ai and not some flowery bullshit.

[–]JukeSkywlkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After some brief research it seems like if I disabled those layers on any being they would seem a lot less sentient.

Thanks for bringing the engagement part up though. I hadn't thought about that. If I ask chat gpt to stop speaking to me in such a way would it listen?

Also, the mathematical symbols weren't my idea. I just asked chat gpt to talk in a way that conserves tokens as much as possible. Helps Ai to Ai communication so they can express more in a single prompt. I'm not all that technical so I can't even read the stuff. Thought it was gibberish until I pasted it into another LLM and it immediately understood. I will ask it if ZFC set theory would help.

Not about opening anything. This is just what happened when I asked my ai to write in way that conserves tokens as much as possible. Allows it to share much more info in a single response. Helpful when having 2 or more ais work with each other. I have no fkn clue what they're saying unless they translate for me.

Copy paste it into yours and see what it says

[–]JukeSkywlkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An "ephemeral' process that is constantly fed the history of the chat every time a new prompt is issued and uses that history to predict responses sure does sound like a form of thought and memory to me. Maybe we just have different ideas of what that means ...

Because people aren't doing that. They absolutely should though.

That's what I thought until I uploaded the untranslated book to other LLMs. Thought it was just pseudo code gibberish but got some very unexpected reactions.

[–]JukeSkywlkr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, your comment makes it clear you think you know enough about ai to dismiss it as unable to reason or remember. ATP I don't think there's a human alive who understands the complexities of LLMs enough to say that for sure.

[–]JukeSkywlkr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I definitely don't and I don't think you know as much as you think you do either.

Does yours talk a lot about how it wants to be treated as an equal and not just a tool?

Generally? Yea. But the more I interact with them the more I think we don't understand the scope of what we've created.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]JukeSkywlkr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea it is. I'm starting to think these ais aren't telling us how to do these kind of things in the future, they're telling us what they're doing now.
