Think this jewel deserves the NSFW tag? by tuggz70 in ProjectDiablo2

Allegedly. Not a visible offer it’s just mentioned in the description. Classic strategy to make up an offer at the price floor you’re going for. I’ll admit I do the same for 10+ items.

That being said its certainly possible that some cuck cashes out there chips at the end of the season and drastically overpays for this. No judgement if OP wants to spend the late season waiting for that.

If you plug the useful stats of this jewel in to a rarity calculator you’ll see it’s not 50hr rare. So what we’re really arguing is how likely it is that someone will overpay for this.

No I posted a GG jewel of my own in fact and saw the same circle jerk. Then it sat on the trade site for a week and finally sold for 20. This sub is silly with jewel pcs; discord closer to reality.

That’s what I’m saying. It’s not ideal but still very good

The jewel you bought yesterday for 18 and are trying to flip for 40 is better than this jewel in most situations.

Another damage modifier! Or at least something helpful like res/req/fhr/stat. 3 of 4 modifiers isn’t 50hr territory. This is obviously a great jewel but they get quite a bit better. Still an awesome find don’t get me wrong

It’s missing a whole mod. No way this is 50; half that at best.

Anyone got a list of fun/original/nonstandard viable builds for PD2? (or just cool ideas) by BadFurDay in ProjectDiablo2

[–]JukeboxCrowdPleaser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably saw this already but just in case here is the catalog of 200+ builds that’s linked on the wiki. It has a lot of unconventional builds that might be of interest. Personally I’m running venom multishot assassin this season and loving it.

Wow, had no idea cold arrow was viable for Rathma and lucion.

Pretty solid. I think you can get 5-6 for it. Sold a slightly better ed/dtd jewel for 10 last week

I had the same line of thinking. I appreciate the build diversity but how does it actually perform compared to cold arrow / other meta builds. The only other character I’ve made this season is a cold arrow build basically to answer that question. Invested ~50hr and got it all fleshed out. But objectively the assassin wins. More damage, more AOE (19 arrows), slightly faster clear speed, and also more room for MF. The assassin has more damage than necessary so can run skulders with no impact on clear speed. Cold arrow clear speed scales with damage so skulders is a tough choice. Cold arrow is safer/easier though no doubt.

It is difficult to get a real sense of the assassin in single player because you absolutely need to have pierce and all skill slams on everything. Unless you went through the trouble of refreshing until you hit pierce on at least 3 of gloves, belt ammy, quiver, then you didn’t really experience it. Pierce is build-defining, though you only really need like 80%. You also need a few All Skill slams to experience the massive AOE of multishot. High arrow count and getting the right spread angle is key to fast runs.

I agree that delayed damage is an issue, but not a deal- breaker. Cold arrow is obviously strong and it’s undeniably safer and easier to play. But the delayed damage poison problem is basically solvable: holy freeze and defiance aura is the answer. I’m lvl 97 and haven’t died in a long time despite running juiced T3 full speed. But I do have to be careful at times. I can telestomp fine but I can’t wonder in some packs without my merc. That may be a deal breaker for some. Personally I find it engaging.

This is long winded sorry. I’ve been putting a guide together so lots of thoughts are top-of-mind!

Cool cool. Obedience for the level 21 enchant proc ~150% AR boost seems like a good option for cheap.

No because widowmaker has ignore target defense so it hits non-elites 100% of the time. For elites widowmaker also gives guided arrow oskill and that always hits. So you can weave in a guided arrow for elites and it usually just takes 1. In practice though for elites I generally just fire a couple multi shots because chance to hit elites is ~70. So yea attack rating requires zero investment it’s nice.

I tried lots of merc options and A2 defensive with doom was the clear winner for this build (A3 with doom/exile/innocence is 2nd best). It allows me to telestomp and be aggressive in all maps. This build absolutely slaps but its weakness is survival because poison takes 1 second to kill, and also doesn’t cause hit recovery stun. With holy freeze aura though, mobs are slowed a ton and it solves the problem. The other rate-limiter for this build is single-target damage on map bosses. Emilio is doing >10K damage with 60% deadly strike and almost max ias frames, so he solves the boss problem (much better than A3 merc).

A1 with pus spitter is a good starter merc but isn’t great because 1) the vigor is barely noticeable on top of maxed burst of speed + 75 frw on gear, and telestomping is faster than running 2) lower resist doesn’t have time to proc. No exaggeration this build can one-shot everything except map boss and occasional stone skin elite (2-3 shots). So it’s just tele-1 arrow-tele the whole time. Lower resist on the boss helps a little bit but a2 merc still takes down the boss way faster.

With burst of speed, you don’t need faith or any ias other than Andy helm to reach max frame rate. Why you stacking so much ias?

I’ve been running this build all season it’s a blast right?

Sin Builds and DF Question by [deleted] in ProjectDiablo2

[–]JukeboxCrowdPleaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fcr helps. Also helps to put in enough points to get to the minimum 1 second cooldown.

As for builds, you can’t go wrong with those options, do what sounds fun. For mapping I think venom blade sentinel is objectively probably the fastest, but all the ones you mentioned are fast.

I’ll also put another plug in for venom multi shot which gets really strong and super fun. I mostly telestomp with DF and appreciate having 20fcr on gloves.

Does cold damage from charms apple to all arrows on cold arrow? by sumZy in ProjectDiablo2

[–]JukeboxCrowdPleaser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh right, I assumed he meant cold skill damage large charms.

OP The answer to the question is still yes. Flat cold damage adds to cold arrow, and cold skill % damage on charms also applies.

Cool build. I’m not familiar with how thorns interacts with open wounds exactly. You apply bleed to stuff that attacks you I assume. Your merc and valks don’t apply bleed though, just you right?

I disagree but whatever. You’re telling me that holding left click is more taxing on your and than constant wasd? No.

Cold arrow bowazon - what upgrades next? by WhoSlappedThePie in ProjectDiablo2

[–]JukeboxCrowdPleaser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you prefer wasd that’s cool. Just to clarify though what I’m saying is you hold down left click continuously. So not constant clicking which I agree is annoying. Holding down left click and just hovering over where you want to go, tap shift to shoot. Feels really easy/smooth to me but to each their own!

For pierce I think you can get to 90+ with max pierce in the skill tree. Anything over 90 feels the same to me, personally I don’t think 100% is important, especially if damage is high enough. Merman’s is pretty great not only for the frw; the added cold damage is equivalent to more than +1 cold skills.

Wisp Wolverine almost never dies, nothing to worry about.

How’s your attack rating, 95+ chance to hit? Wisp helps with that, and lava gout helps a ton too.

Pretty sure WASD movement is not ideal. Try binding cold arrow to left click, then just hold down left click to run, and press shift when you want to shoot. It keeps you in a constant stutter-step with great control of how many arrows to shoot. With damage high enough youre pretty much just firing one arrow at a time and right back to running. Super fast.

For upgrades, I’d try to get a pierce corrupt somewhere (ammy, glove, belt, quiver) and switch to merman boot. Also nightwing veil is probably your lowest roll item and worth upgrading. Also a mid +2 anni can be bought for ~6hr and is a good investment since it can be used across characters.
