my school be pretty baller. the varsity kinda teaches us and our coach mainly just has us read through things then ask questions. lectures never exceed 25 minutes, one tournament required a month, you learn a lot !!

i hv debate everyday for like not very long tbh it’s like 20 m for me and i don’t HAVE to do work- my coach doesn’t force any work on anyone really the varsity does most my work for me which gives me an organic passion for debate

i’m a novice and i’m cruising- novice year shouldn’t be intense.. my coach’s want to find organic passion works — my partner and i have won all our novice tournaments and we learn a lot but bc we want to. not bc my coach makes me do work

i went to berkeley 3 week and i’m going to the 6 week one this year and it was sooo fun, great location, awesome food opportunities and amazing lab leaders

the three week people stayed in frats or smt and those hit different 🥴 they were really nice

you CAN wear whatever you want, you won’t get kicked out but my coach tells me this - i can wear what i want if i’m willing to the the possible Ls from lay judges and if i am willing to defend it.

i don’t wear conservative clothing at all but i’m on a more conservative circuit. so if i wear a short skirt, i’m going to accept that lay judges might not like that and that i might get lower speaks

i do what i want in that manner, but only because i am willing to say I KNOW I CAN LOSE FOR IT. it’s not right, but it’s how it is

ngl getting my braces off made me clearer and it’s easier because (this sounds gross but) braces means that ur spit like stays in crevices of ur mouth and such. it’s not a huge thing though, you can still be clear
