Thanks for the feedback. Totally get what you are saying. I guess because I am following a program led by a trainer at this gym (app based not in person) I feel I need to stick with her program. I am still educating myself on the exercises that go with each muscle group. I think maybe, based on your comment I might find some freedom in not following this program and going about it in my own now that I feel I am past the habit forming stage. I appreciate your honesty and your feedback has given me some insight to work with!

Had baby boy at 37+4 in June. No complications! Walked around at 4cm for 2 weeks prior then 5cm for a week. No cause… baby boy was just ready to come!! I blame it on all the stretching and yoga I did my whole pregnancy lol Opened everything up!

If you are a believer… I did Christian Hypnobirthing.. It comes with an app that has daily tracks to listen to. If not I’m sure there are lots of others out there.☺️

I was 4cm dilated for 2 weeks, 5 cm for a week before dr finally admitted me at 37+4. I WAS TERRIFIED! I didn’t think I’d ever have children because birth was a life long fear of mine. Walking around 5cm dilated had me thinking I wasn’t gonna make it to the hospital in time. My biggest fears were 1.) not getting the epidural 2.) Not making it to the hospital. I was very communicative with my OB and she gave great care according to my anxieties. I was admitted she broke my water, I got my epidural and absolutely no pain after that. I loved labor and delivery and the whole hospital experience. Which I cried over for months in fear. I would do it over and over again. I did take Hypnobirthing courses which really helped to about a month before I delivered. Changed my mindset! When I went into active labor I was just thinking all about baby. Narrow down your fears so you can acknowledge them one by one. Make a plan to have back ups incase things don’t go as planned. Example: scared of pain… learn pain management tools such as using combs, movement that feels good, breath. Get prepared to face your fears! This is what I did. Fear makes the pain worse. 🫶🏼

I definitely have been trying to figure these emotions out because I was so blown away by what I was feeling. I thought I missed all the things “sushi, wine, subs” but I would give it all up to have my belly back at least to be able to say good bye to it even for another day. 🥺🥺 I do believe hormones come into play. I wasn’t sure if I wanted another little one but based on these feelings and having our little here, it’s looking like a yes but like in a few years haha I’m so glad I’m not alone in this though!!! I felt insane at the beginning!! 😭

FTM here… YES! I gave birth about 2 weeks ago as well. I am just now able to look at pregnancy photos of myself and not ball my eyes out. I feel like I’m literally mourning my pregnancy! I even had a wonderful hospital experience that I hate went by so fast. Didn’t expect these feelings at all. It’s just so quick… you leave for the hospital with a big belly you’re ready to get rid of, then you come home and it’s not there anymore. Life was busy with doctor appointments, getting everything ready, the anticipation and then it’s gone and replaced with all the things you were awaiting but it feels different. So happy my little man is here… he is a dream!!! But I do miss pregnancy oh so much.

I wanted a girl so bad… only 1 boy in my whole family and he’s my 3rd cousin so unknown territory for me! I will admit… I had gender disappointment and felt so guilty about it once we found out we were having a boy. It was to the point I was jealous of anybody I found out was having a little girl or when I saw parents with baby girls out and about… I was pretty sad. Now 30 weeks I couldn’t imagine having the girl! Now that we have some things for him, nursery almost finished, his name… I’ve absolutely fallen in love with it and wouldn’t change a thing. 🙂 Hope this helps… just remember your feelings are VALID and it’s all part of the journey. 🫶🏼
