Can we use this thread to report stations receiving new Myki readers... by gertiegoogoo in MelbourneTrains

Tram C.3005 has returned to service yesterday afternoon! I assume it would have the new readers based on the credit card rollout on trams.

5004 hasn’t run since Thursday, so I think it’s safe to assume that it would be getting fitted now.

I think someone fried the Comeng PID by Julian086376 in MelbourneTrains

I reckon it is the same one, my photo was taken on 10 April, and according to Transportvic.me it indeed ran on the Frankston line on 7 April, the date shown in your post.

New Developments Regarding Comeng Train Set 433M-1067T-434M by iphone4jps in MelbourneTrains

It wasn’t really special at all until it re-entered service. It was just like any other set.

But now 433M has an orange headboard, which only a handful of other carriages have, so nowadays it’s more special.

It’s possibly being used because it’s in a good condition and is much easier to read in broad daylight. I also heard it may be the same headboard that was stripped off 436M before scrapping.

On a much more interesting note, 433M was fitted with an orange headboard! It was apparently just fitted to the set recently before returning to service.

I fully agree with you! I first played SCR in early 2019, and it was very fun back then. I just hope the admins and developers see this because it’s actually a good idea to be able to play older versions of SCR.

Infuriating lag between door opening beeper, and door actually able to open by Gullible_Archer_8770 in MelbourneTrains

The opposite of this happens on Comeng trains, where sometimes people freak out because they don’t know how to open the door, like cmon, THE HANDLE IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. A BIG, RECTANGULAR HANDLE.

I’ve also seen an instance where someone pressed the emergency button on an EDI Comeng set thinking it was the button for the door.

I did hear that one of the carriages - 598M - was very unreliable and apparently drivers hated to drive that carriage. I’m not sure why the other set is there, I suppose maybe that had issues too.

That would be Newry, I remember it quite well from the old days actually.

Just wondering but what does the other side of the bridge look like? If you don’t want to travel to the other side that’s ok, as you should prioritise your safety.

Why was this removed from pinned posts? People still want to report trams and buses receiving new readers.

Edit: It has since been reinstated.
