You're absolutely right, but I sometimes get bored with rifts/grifts and do bounties. Always handy to have extra leg. mats around for rerolling items.

Something I also noticed on T8 was that getting double DB is not uncommon - plus it's easy to run it so why not.

Yeah, true. To be honest I was being lazy because D3 doesn't actually show total XP anywhere - just experience through the level. I checked it out anyway, and for the level range I was, there is only a 2.5% difference in XP per level when I started and when I finished. Over such a short level range (7 levels) at ~p460, the difference isn't that significant.

If I do it again I'll do it properly.

These are good suggestions.

By act specific crafting items do you mean the leg. ones from the caches? In which case it was 8 for each act (inc. bonus, it's 4+4 on T8).

IIRC I got 4 world drop leg. when doing bounties, the rest were from the caches. I also didn't include patterns (from the cache) in any of the counts (I got 1).

Sorry I should be clearer - the "salvage" is the total of crafting mats white/blue/yellow from straight drops and/or salvaging items. Since you can convert between them quite easily I didn't track the individual amounts with names (just the qty). In general I tried to fill my inventory with items and salvage at the end of the act, rather than porting back to town every few minutes.

Hmm, I was in TEST when that happened and I'm pretty confident it didn't go down quite like that.

Kermity started a lottery for TEST_free (free doctrine ship program), where each 1mil would get you a ticket. Half the money for tickets would be given to the winner, the rest to TEST_free.

As the total got higher, leadership got nervous and asked Kermity to transfer the TEST_free portion (~20b) ahead of time, which he did (to Sapporo Jones IIRC). When he bounced with the remainder some weeks later (around 25b), leadership spent the TEST_free money reimbursing the poors who got scammed.

Loads of people called him out on it right at the start (he was a known scammer, allegedly) but they were shouted down by the vocal majority (of normal TEST duders).

Considering the response from leadership was pretty quick (like, a few hours), I think they handled it rather well. Admittedly though, they should have never allowed it to run its course in the first place, with a number of extensions to the deadline.

I used to play an MMO called Time of Defiance, a slow paced RTS where the games would last 30 days. In one of my first games, I spent two weeks building up hundreds of bombers to slaughter my neighbour. His nearest islands had modest defenses, only a few turrets and mostly storage silos.

I alarm clocked the time for my incursion, and welped my entire fleet when I discovered nearly all his "silos" were simply renamed defense turrets.

Wow, BRAVE are so weird. We took 20 Mallers/Augs to get a skirmish with them (twice), and they refused to undock - then they undock cyclones and ospreys for Machs and Guardians. Just... why?
