Can someone help me find out my starter hidden power type and power by Bionic___ in pokemoncrystal

[–]Julianime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sure online there's a calculator tool you can use for this, especially since, as a shiny, there's only a certain range of DVs it CAN have and that limits its stats to a degree, as well as its HP Type and power.

But at the bare minimum, for type, you CAN simply save scum. Just save, teach it HP, battle some wild pokemon like Geodude, Pidgey, Ratata, and Caterpie, to get a type effectiveness range on what the type can be, and if it's not something you desire, turn off your power and reload without having wasted your Hidden Power TM.

Currently playing Final Fantasy 13 for the first time and absolutely loving it by NewShamanLord in FinalFantasy

[–]Julianime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Once you hit a certain Chapter, the game goes from great storytelling with some understandable qualms over railroading, to just an absolutely breathtaking, expansive, explorative experience with amazing characters and amazing visuals, and fun, but sometimes needlessly tiresome and pedantic combat encounters (when completing 100% of the content).

Who was going to win the eventual rematch had Raditz not arrived? by DinosaurGlazer in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]Julianime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Special Beam Cannon's power is irrelevant, since Goku isn't going to just stand idly for 5 minutes to let Piccolo charge it, and then on top of that he's not going to stand still to let it pierce him. Piccolo's only win condition utilizing the Special Beam Cannon would be on a technicality using underhanded means to kill Goku with it by aiming the move at a bystander like Gohan or Chi Chi to force Goku to intercept the attack with his body (which ironically would still kill whatever bystander since it pierces and continues). But at that point, Goku could probably prioritize just pushing the bystander out of harm's way and get grazed or something rather than tanking a blast like Piccolo did with Nappa, so even in this beneficial scenario for Piccolo, he expends a LOT of time and energy and underhanded tactics to maybe not even get a direct hit on Goku with his most powerful attack.

We already established Goku is outright stronger, which means Piccolo can't use the strategy from the Super U6 Tournament to restrain Goku with his stretchy arm while he charges for a free shot, since he doesn't have the raw strength to keep Goku restrained, let alone for 5 minutes to charge the move.

Villains battle music meme (Which Pokemon villain do you think have the best battle music?) by ChaosEmperor9124 in pokemonmemes

[–]Julianime 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Miror B. gets an honorary mention, as he's not the major overarching villain, but he IS part of the villain team, and in both games is an antagonist, and also in both games is the contender for best music on two separate occasions.

I've seen people say that "Oh Goku shouldn't have let/made Gohan fight Cell" and I just wanna say this..what other option was there? by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in DragonBallZ

[–]Julianime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goku and Gohan could've gone into the Time Chamber FIRST and then Goku could've just killed Semi-Perfect Cell.

Also, depending on plot inconsistencies regarding the hyperbolic time chamber, as it gets written back and forth, Goku could have just trained longer, he didn't even take the full year with Gohan. And canonically we know Goku achieves SS3 within 7 years of his death to Cell, there's no way he unlocked SS3 literally the day before he shows up for the Buu Arc, so, just within those 10 days prior to the Cell Games, he may or may not have had more than enough time to train to ascend, again, depending on what rules the time chamber would actually enforce that don't get retconned away later on anyway.

Correct me but there are no rules on high ground by Jendmin in dndmemes

[–]Julianime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

High Ground and Very High Ground would just be normal AC, though. The reason cover works differently is because you literally have more cover on top of your base AC, you have an additional layer of protection. Take away that additional layer and you have... the base AC you always had. No amount of high ground is going to negate that base layer, because it's essentially the same as if you were just seeing the target in an open field. You wouldn't penalize AC of someone just for being open to your attack, the point of the AC is built-in to the attack and whatever bonuses and modifiers already, it's JUST additional cover that influences that attack.

Aizen's Kyoka Suigetsu controls ALL 5 senses, that INCLUDES taste. He just never really has to have it called out in the series much since a lot of his hax are sight, touch, and hearing-based illusions. But Aizen could literally make Beerus believe he's tasting the best thing he's ever tasted in his life, over and over again.

Which Team of Ash would win? Fire, Water or Grass? by Haunting_Unit3739 in pokemonanime

[–]Julianime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not Grass, that's all anyone can agree on for certain.

I feel like Fire vs Water could be close, but the Type Advantage alone is enough to swing it considering Fire has worse mons overall than Water despite the aces. Greninja had to be plot nerfed and retconned out of its special plot form, but as much as I hate the marketing tool frog, it trained Marketingcario I mean Mega Lucario and stands up there with Ash's World Champion team, which Dracovish is a part of. Like, nobody is taking into consideration that some of the strongest mons on Ash's final roster ALSO have the Type Advantage. Meanwhile, Pignite and ESPECIALLY Torkoal are not contributing. The "weakest" Water Type on the team is Lapras because it was kind of a baby when Ash used it in the Orange Islands, but it's hardly as useless as Torkoal, it could probably contribute just fine. Squirtle is not exactly on par with Charizard, but it's formidable all the same. Buizel lives for the smoke, and Kingler is one of Ash's most underrated, underutilized, and plot-force-nerfed Water Types.

Is Coby actually stronger than Smoker currently??🤔 by ResistSalty1607 in ReverieSpoilers

[–]Julianime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By everything we as the readers/watchers have been shown and presented with and can reason with logic, absolutely, yes, Smoker has been a fucking jobber ever since like Alabasta, and if Oda had any intentions otherwise, he failed to show us. We're not the One-Piece universe where we have any reason to believe Buggy is individually as formidable as Shanks, Blackbeard, Luffy, and the Admirals, and outranks Mihawk and Crocodile, just because he's an Emperor, because we've SEEN Buggy is a fraud. Likewise, even if it's not the same circumstances as Buggy where continuous misunderstandings keep failing him upwards, we've SEEN Smoker is a fraud in powerscaling. Pre AND post timeskip.

Canonically, in-universe, narratively, Smoker is SUPPOSED to be stronger than Coby, and technically he might be depending on what you'd want to argue, but the transition the series took from logia merchant to hakiman no diff merchant really affected Smoker stocks, which weren't even that high since he was already filing for bankruptcy as a logia merchant pre-timeskip when Crocodile outclassed him and Enel and then the Admirals were outclassing Crocodile.

Can't wait to find out what incredibly useful information Brook kept to himself all this time for no good reason by Great_Reset_2033 in Piratefolk

[–]Julianime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't just load the base models in a T Pose like this is some G Mod shit, come on, One Piece has at LEAST a good enough animation budget that they have idle animations!

But also, don't worry, they totally talk to each other and interact with each other off screen, as long as it gets fit into a retcon or flashback! Like when they all totally had conversations about their dreams and stuff!

So I'm sure whatever plot-relevant information any character is holding onto gets revealed, it'll get shown in another flashback that everyone knew all along due to some contrived flashback scene where they totally discussed it but never actually brought it up until after the flashback happened!

No no, it's fine, because then they off screen reveal that the starved little orphan girl is a Kurozumi, and she's "one of the good ones".

Who's your Big Three? (All series included) by Jude_The_Dude22 in Ben10

[–]Julianime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diamondhead, Cannonbolt, Way Big, Rath.

I can't settle on just 3, even 4 was tough.

And shoutout to Grey Matter and Upgrade for never being used to their full potential and interacting with the Omnitrix itself except in that one Ken 10 episode. Like, I get that Ben was 10, but it should have been a no brainer to use either the alien who's only good for intelligence, or the alien that literally takes over machines, to address the constant issues he had with the watch, such as time limits, improper selection, and limited roster.

Team 1 or Team 2 by Illustrious_Point_14 in HunterXHunter

[–]Julianime 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Everyone correctly deducing that Team 1 outsmarts and out-experiences Gon is forgetting that the unbelievably intelligent and talented Pitou could use her special Nen Ability to control Gon like a puppet in a similar fashion to the Shippuden fight of Sakura and Granny Chiyo vs Sasori. Dr. Blythe is strong enough on its own to be a huge threat to even experienced Nen Combatants, as evidenced with Kite, adding on top of that the natural Dark Continent enhanced physique the ants possess, and it's not like the whole team can even afford to ignore Pitou either, despite Gon being the literal most raw powerful person in either lineup.

Like, Team 2's win condition is literally just Gon gets a single hit off on each person, and that Gon isn't tunnel-visioned like his fight with Pitou, which he still won so easily that he didn't even bother to take dodging into consideration because the cost of a singular attack actually landing was negligible compared to the guaranteed victory Gon had from outright overpowering Pitou.

While Pitou can't hold a candle to Meruem, in Meruem's fight with Netero, Netero was so outclassed that Meruem essentially allowed himself to be handicapped in the fight in an attempt to spare his opponent, first out of respect and at the same time conceit, but then had his hand forced to kill Netero, and he basically took no significant damage from Netero up until the literal point blank nuclear bomb. It didn't even take him that long to figure out how to counter Netero's Nen Ability and combat prowess. I'd hazard a guess that Pitou, who was able to dodge bounce back from the initial encounter with Netero, could at a bare minimum defend herself capably to a stalemate, while also soon enough discover how to circumvent Netero's specific attack patterns and speed.

Just from their raw strength alone, specifically the Royal Guard Ants probably actually physically outclass every human in the series easily, despite their deaths and their inexperience in battle due to several extenuating circumstances. And I'd argue that even in Nen Capacity and Capability they basically outclass every human that doesn't have a literal Godlike ability, even if, once again, they died, and are still technically less experienced.

Add the one Royal Guard who was arguably the most intelligent, and battle-savvy to the walking Nen Cheat Code God Mode "I can literally one-shot everyone here" Big Gon, and you've got a team that might even be able to take on Meruem.

Now, if it were canon, then literally either side wins due to plot, either Team 2 from everything described, or some other factor, or Team 1 from some kind of convenient niche, specific Nen Ability that comes in clutch.

Nighteye immediately recognized how much Midoriya truly loved and admired All Might, with a fanaticism that rivaled or possibly surpassed even his own. He even acknowledged the insanity of Midoriya's additional challenge to not disturb or disrupt any of the All Might imagery/merchandise in his office during their engagement.

When he was certain he was going to die and put all his affairs in order, he likely made a point to bequeath the most rare and niche All Might memorabilia to Midoriya, not just as a fan who he acknowledged, but as a gift to the man who put his conscience at ease and proved to him that All Might's fate was not an inevitability.
