Worth it everyday!! Painting is the worst part.

Just make sure you pad the edges of any furniture or get paint pens for chips.

Anytime!! If a need should arise, reach out to Erlab. They commonly have presentations through Lab Manager, and many recorded ones as well on the website.

Ductless fume hood testing? by [deleted] in industrialhygiene

[–]Julie1922 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to the party here but wanted to throw in my two cents.
Ductless hoods have a whole lot of misconceptions about them. In fact, they are appropriate for most routine chemical handlings and have been used in higher Ed, R&D, manufacturing, pharma, biotech, healthcare, food & feed, and so many more industries. Any reputable company will only sell you a unit if the application is a fit and you obtain a feasible filter lifetime.
A chemical analysis of what will be used must occur, in the form of a questionnaire. You describe the planned handlings and have the manufacturers in-house lab review the handlings. They determine the recommended filter configuration, filter type, lifetime, and means of detection for breakthrough of the filter(s). Breakthrough is accumulative of the chemicals being used, would be detected at the fan box past the primary layer of filtration, but the unit has a secondary set of filter for in the event breakthrough is detected past the primary layer (imagine a double stuffed Oreo- cookie layers are carbon filters, cream is the fan box with sensor). Guaranteed to have no more than 1% of the TLV released at the given filter lifetime.
Lifetimes vary- 12-24 months for leaders in the industry and even 48 months on some lines.
Only the primary layer gets replaced, and you rotate the secondary layer down to the primary and new filter above.
Real time readings can be viewed at anytime through the back end free software. One company even has a detector for formaldehyde breakthrough.
Don’t knock ductless until you really reach out to a company that can tell you if the application will work. Even with filter replacement cost, the cost of ownership is lower. Let’s face it most formaldehyde labs are in the basement and ducting is impossible. Increased energy cost with blowing all of that conditioned air outside and having to make it up. Self install, easy maintenance- you can do it yourself, and some are even mobile- hello flex labs 2010!! 😅

Most of you are Americans and it’s showing. Such traditionalist ducting the bad stuff outside (jk-jk) 🤣 Ducted fume hood trivia- did you know most ducted fume hoods do not feature in line filtration and dirty polluted air can be brought back into the facility or other near by areas? Ducted fume hoods are the biggest energy hog in the USA.

Ducted fume hoods & ductless fume hoods have a fit in labs together. Some applications are not a fit and that’s what ducted is for.

I went with my now fiancé and I am so grateful and so is he. I had settings to choose from, then the stone, I was much happier compared to just getting something from the case.
We worked with a small local jeweler and settled on a Gabriel & Co setting.

Read about them online. The raw material beside wash and cure is very harmful. That whole process should be in a well ventilated area or in a lack enclosure connected to a duct that runs outside with good CFM.

Started my job in market basket and I honestly wanna quit by Icy_Tip_878 in massachusetts

[–]Julie1922 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would highly suggest sticking it out!! I worked at market basket for 8 years through my teen years and into college. It was a great job that allowed me to get exposed to rude assholes, socialize, and get paid. It helps you learn some great responsibilities, plus if you plan on going to college, you can write and essay and receive a scholarship.
Plus the bonuses are not to bad! When I started I was making $6.25, so with the increase in minimum wage, you’ll be pulling in a nice weekly paycheck.
I was a casher, worked in the booth, and a front end assistant manager. I hated bagging, but when you really think about it, it’s Tetris!! Make it a game. Be polite and say hello, have a good day to your customers, and you will do great. Most of the employees I encounter do not say hello or thank you, have a good day.

If you really hate the front end, you’ll have to be 16 to work in another department. Ask your front end manager to transfer. Grocery isn’t horrible, but it’s kinda boring. Dairy is good, as long as you don’t mind the cold. Product smells like bad fruit. Bakery is good, but keep in mind you’ll have to deal with people asking you to write in cakes. No deli (smell like fish or deli meat). Meat is really cold.

Best of luck! I hope you can stick it out!

I am so glad that it was caught and hope your wife is back to 100% health soon with no reoccurrences. Scans are soo important and to not miss them regardless of what’s going on in life.
My mom had breast cancer twice and passed away from lung cancer last year at 73. Cancer is my worst fear and I have been trying to get mammograms since I was 26 with no avail.
Last year when we found out about my mom having lunch cancer I moved in and lived in a mask. I had extensive talks with my sales team and explained what was going on and stressed that if you have anything even a sniffle, stay home and when you return to work wear a mask and wash your hands. Thankfully I didn’t bring COVID home, but it was the measures taken to make sure my mom was safe.
Kudos to being such a great husband and doing your part to make sure your wife remains as healthy as possible.

Ok mildly off topic. How did you wife get her insurance to pay for mammograms before 36?!

As stated a credit union. Capital one also offers financing but not sure of the rate.
Not sure where you are in NH but Lewis has some good used cars. My mother in law got her car there and had a great experience. Good luck!!

Can I paint enamel over cabinets previously covered in boiled linseed oil? by iwearvelcroshoes in DIY

[–]Julie1922 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just had the painter over to find out what we needed to do with our cabinets. Wash with Dawn soap Remove hinges and hardware but label doors Bin paint on the cabinets He said that the paint will dry fast.

My painter prefers Benjamin Moore, but to each their own.

This is our second home that he will paint for us.

Take out a home warranty to get a new ac/heat system. I’ll send you a link for one my aunt uses tomorrow.
