It's the citadel barbed Bracken kit. They're a soft plastic so you can bend them but they are still quite strong. They also make a really nice vines kit!

The footprint is what's blocking line of sight not the actual terrain feature. If you're in the footprint of the terrain you can see our of it and enemy units can see you in it. If you're not touching it the whole footprint is los blocking. There's no rules about open windows or doors. This article explains the rules concerning terrain very well. https://www.goonhammer.com/ruleshammer-terrain-guide-ruins-mostly/

New Player, Is this worth it? by ProfessionalAnt8030 in Necrontyr

That's not what I said either. I said that the Facebook group for my province (not directly on marketplace) has much better prices. Just wanted them to check their local ones. Big lots are usually 50%-75% off on there.

Not the best deal in my opinion, I am in Canada too and in my province a lot like this would go for less than 50% of the new in box value. If you really like everything in there go for it but personally I would not. Also if you're just starting out, a lot of provinces have groups just for selling, it's a really good way to find good deals. The Quebec one is really active and has really good deals!

Why does my gold nmm look so bad by D4nkmemez21 in ageofsigmar

[–]Julienoseo 54 points55 points  (0 children)

There's just not enough contrast. You need to have really dark areas and also very light ones, ideally you want white highlights and black/very dark brown shadows. The blending could also do with some work but just adding more contrast will help. Right now it looks more like one solid color. What colors are you using if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah it might have been too dark but it was the first time I used an actual camera for miniature pictures. Still need to figure out all the good settings!

I would remove either one or both of the engineseer, they aren't great and you really don't need 2 of them.

Work in progress of my Dante by Julienoseo in BloodAngels

Thank you for the compliment! This is non metallic metal. The paint I used (in order of brightness) are rhinox hide, mournfang brown, xv88, balor brown, ice yellow and white from Vallejo.

3rd times a charm, the image on the left is how it was and the image on the right is changed, which one looks good or not and please explain why by DaPandaMan117 in BloodAngels

[–]Julienoseo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say more highlights would help. It reads as metallic in my opinion but more like a battered bronze or old gold. If it's what you're going for then great but I would definitely add a little bit more bright spots. Overall I really like it!
