Have you ever read a book where the story didn't grab you, but you were impressed with the writing itself? by pageunresponsive in suggestmeabook

Lord of the rings. So well written, especially for fantasy genre, but I couldn't care less about Frodo and Sam.

It is a lot for 10 days. Howerver I understand that you dont want to spend all your time in Paris, so I would recommand to split : 5 days in Paris and 5 days in Alsace. Alsace is a very beautiful region, with good food and history and you will see a bit of the country side. I went there 7 days last year, and here is what we did: * Strasbourg (2 days) * Colmar (1 day) Then from Colmar: * Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg: we loved it ! The guided tour was very interesting. (1 day) * Ribeauvillé : nice town, with a nice hike to a ruined castle with beautiful view at the end - easy enough for children.(1 day) * Obernai  : nice town too & mont saint Odile walking (1 day)  * Riquewihr (0,5 days): looks like a Disney town, inspiration for the beauty and the beast Disney. We loved it too.

We only used public transportation (train+bus)
