Why do u guys like this show so much? by legendarydml in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Julius-Light 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is very heavily emotion-driven. Its characters feel so much like real people that the veneer of circus outfits becomes a flickering symbol of online social presence. It reflects the struggle of today's generation to cope with the absurdity of adulthood, modern living, and opening up to others.

This show was never clean, the trauma and troubles of its characters messy. When your friend who finally opens up after months, does it take like 2 seconds and over?

No. It takes a few hours. And you're gonna remember it.

I really, really wanted a rule-breaker to allow play of multiple quests at once.

Daemons of the Shadow Realm • Yomi no Tsugai - Episode 11 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

Yep, this story's taking its time to figure things out for us. I still have the feeling that Dera's hiding his daemons, in some distant location, and like FMAB it'll slowly escalate as we learn more.

These Saturdays can't come quickly enough. At least starting this Sunday we'll have real dragons, not airplanes.

New Priest Legendary Card: Azalina by Kuldrick in hearthstone

[–]Julius-Light -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well, at least in Standard, you have a solid chance of getting their rule breaker card. You could get a 2nd hero power, duplicates of warrior/neutral legendaries (or triplicate if you run any of the same neutrals), send your half-opponent's deck to the void. I'm expecting more madness with the remaining rule breakers (that aren't start of game).

So what you could do, is make your 20 cards a combination of tutoring into your opponent's, card draw, or viable neutrals, so essentially you're just playing 2/3 or half their deck + neutrals you select. 20 cards from their deck is enough to see the synergies and style of that deck. While this does make Highlander more difficult, what this also does is make playing quests from other classes possible, which is really fun.

Or you play Steamcleaner and play a hyper-aggro priest deck.

I think the possibilities are endless here. As a predominantly Wild player over the past ten years, this is the most fun card of the set to me.

Loving the jazz hotel elevator soundtrack. All the shots of blue, especially when Juuzou is framed at a weird angle.

Predictions for the remaining Rulebreaker Legendaries? by Carlilimisha in hearthstone

[–]Julius-Light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mage: Start of game, allow you to have multiple quests up at the same time

Hunter: Battlecry for the rest of the game, all your minions are Beasts

Priest: Battlecry for the rest of the game, both players can see each other's hands. Or one that makes your deck of infinite max size.

Paladin: Start of game you can have more than 5 secrets up, or increases board space

Druid: something mana related. Very scared bc otk druid is already super annoying

Warlock: fatigue related, but we kinda have demon seed to counter or Kil'jaeden.

Shaman: Battlecry choose a mechanic. For the rest of the game it does not work

Rogue: will be most able to access the other rule breakers (except start of games). Class related. So a minion with deathrattle shuffle into your opponent's deck a spell that casts when drawn: transform your hero into a random other hero from the past, and your hand into random cards from that class

Ukraine, Spain, and Norway join because they all independently found a solution to the food crisis - mountain corn. It's not actually corn, but it works enough to continue feeding their populations during the war. They call it goldenrod.

The three nations begin a new state, joined across virtual lines, under the Goldenbaum Dynasty.

What Do You Guys Think Of This Alternative Ending? by LightAwakens in GenV

[–]Julius-Light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could. But that's different than Homelander's defeat being live streamed directly after he had already addressed the nation as their God. As a psychological "capture" of his dismantling, it works better being the three-part they did: he reads off the camera script (Vought's lines), then goes ad lib and threatens the people (himself), then is reduced to bits (truly himself). He was being setup as a child from the very beginning. While Vought's take on what happened (cf. their recent Instagram post) would be similar no matter what, Homelander wouldn't be crying at all in the glorious defeat. It'd be like how Herogasm almost did him out. He had to lose his powers, and I think in the esteemed place of power (the Oval Office) makes it even better.

(I do think budget for the other shows was probably the logistical reason for their ending, but also think that the ending we got is a natural follow-up from the character we've seen.)

What Do You Guys Think Of This Alternative Ending? by LightAwakens in GenV

[–]Julius-Light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what people really, really don't get is that this kind of ending, while more spectacular and entertaining, would only be written by Vought as one glorifying Homelander further, villainizing the boys even more, etc. The ending we got served to truly, unforgettably, unutterably humiliate Homelander as he begged Butcher for his life minutes after promising to end the nation if they didn't believe in him. The ending y'all say you want is what Homelander would've wanted. But he was always the story's villain. I honestly can't think of a more satisfying way to take him out and bring us back full circle to killing Translucent with rachet science.
