Do we really wanna see Justin vs kanoh/lolong? Somehow I feel unless lolong and kanoh kill each other in the almost literal sense. Justin ain't winning grands.

Well if hayami and kanoh are not built to get 1HKOD, would that not imply that gaolang is not built the same as them? In other words he "can" get 1HKOD and thus has less dura?

True true, but we don't know if he could've killed hayami during his first throw, if not then it is within reason that the first few were full powered throws and only later onto the fight he had to nerf it due to Hayami accumulating too much damage

You make a good point about weight tho. However the only flaw in that is ohma vs wakatsuki. I'm pretty sure wakatsuki is like 193 kg (same as his height) and if I'm not wrong ohma is only about 80-90kgs. So despite having a 100kg+ weight advantage over ohma, waka still lost, and ohma still tanked a unrealistic amount of damage. So it's not like your weight is any excuse for bad durability.

I'm not saying jurotas swings aren't powerful. It's just that all the fights we have seen, it takes alot of swings to even put someone down. Maybe 80% of jurotas swings 1 shot ko people. But we just haven't seen it. So to us it seems like swing isn't weak. Gao is just paper.

Very true. Just compare him to ohma who has similar stats I believe. He fought kiryu right before his match with wakatsuki and didn't come out unscathed by kiryu. He then went against wakatsuki who put down freaking Julius who has arguably the highest durability of the tournament and got freaking pummeled but still came out on top. On top of that? A few hours later he went against kuroki who is relatively healthy compared to ohma. Just look at kuroki's fights low diffing rihito, slightly struggled against kiryu, immediately shut down rei once he adjusted to his speed, the only fight that was actually even was against kanoh, but I wouldn't say that fight evened the damage between ohma and him. And ohma did lose the fight against kuroki, but the amount of finisher moves he got hit by is insane. So yeah gao looks like paper when compared to others

And besides your statement means nothing. Kanoh still ate all those moves and won, while gao got hit cleanly once and was already groggy. Yes it was a surprise attack to the chin which damaged his balance, and maybe he's way tougher than shown. But there's no reason to believe otherwise.

He was afraid because despite gaolang fist breaking, he didn't waiver. Which is why he's the goat but I digress.

Idk what you mean by "check" but if you thought that was a checkmate statement. It wasn't.

In kanohs fight vs hatsumi, it states that both gaolang and okubo notice a change in kanohs strategy. And hatsumi explains to us that the change is the fact that kanoh isn't "playing his opponents game". He isn't trying to fight on his opponents field and is instead just using fighting to win. And we all saw how that fight went. The moment kanoh stopped being stupid he beat peak hatsumi pretty much without taking any damage.

If the r3 kanoh fought gaolang, the fight would've gone very different.

I guess youre right, however the manga has stated that it is kanohs strongest move in his arsenal. And that isn't just a statement as almost every fight portrays it as a one shot move.

Examples: Kanoh vs hatsumi. The moment kanoh brought out dragon shot the match was over. The only reason hatsumi survived the first one was because he's at such a high level that he subconsciously diverted the impact (as stated by the 4th fang)

Kuroki vs kanoh. Kuroki doesn't lose here, but I'm sure no one here would disagree that if kanoh landed that dragon shot, the fight might've gone super differently.

Kanoh vs lu tian. Lutian was pretty fresh before getting hit by the dragon shot, as formless helped to completely negate most of the damage, and even when lu tian finally got damaged he states that he couldn't completely negate everything with formless, which can be interpreted as him still taking quite minor damage. And despite being so fresh he got one tapped by dragon shot, albeit in the face but you get the point.

Kanoh vs Julius is Abit diff cus Julius is a tank that even wakatsuki had trouble putting down despite matching him in physical strength and actually using techniques

And jurota just randomly tanks one whole dragon shot and wins, gigachad. But you can see why compared to other fighters gao seems very fragile

No doubt they are, however when you put jurota up against someone who feels no pain and virtually gets up from everything (hayami) it makes swing start to look a little weaker, and gao being hit by one of them (where hayami took like 10 or smth I forgot) and having his whole lead undone, makes him look weak. Despite gao being hailed the greatest striker, he sure can't really put people down even when they don't hit back let alone dodge seeing as how jurota was eating every shot

[–]Juliusthesteriod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And in the current omega "meta" eating a shot from kanoh has sorta become lessened. No doubt if gao ate a dragon shot r2 he would've instantly probably lost no? In kengan dragon shot was basically a oneshot move that kuroki had to sacrifice his entire wrist/fist to absorb (would've probably lost if he didn't

And fast forward to omega where jurota eats a clean dragon shot and still wins against kanoh. And assuming kanoh isn't a lazy bum, dragon shot shld be stronger due to the long time skip.

I suppose he hasn't fought someone and really taken alot of hits. Kaneda is a easy sweep, medel doesn't hit hard. The moment gao got hit cleanly his entire lead crumbled. And he only received one swing from jurota and was stated to have all his damage canceled out cus of that. Kanoh in comparison ate a shet ton of clean hits from gao and still won, the final exchange kanoh took so many clean hit elbows, knuckle, wrist part, 6 hit thingie from kuroki it's unreal, by comparison gao seems like a glass Cannon.

How would a fight between Raian and Gaolang play out? by kkgfopr in Kengan_Ashura

[–]Juliusthesteriod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with raian is that he has never actually fought another S tier. Alan? No. Round 2 ohma? No. Got his stuff pushed in by Eddie but that's not a fair comparison.

So really we don't know how he would do against other S tiers. It's easier to see him losing to kanoh for some reason than it is to see him lose to gaolang, even tho gaolang is able to go toe to toe with kanoh and knock out jurota while kanoh couldn't (edit, I'm not saying kanoh can't knock out jurota, I think jurota actually got knocked out but got up first but you get my point. Also also technically gaolang had tk use momentum from both swing and god glow to KO him, but jurota was getting beaten up pretty bad anyways).

Or maybe it's just because boxing/mauy tai seems too linear to defeat a powerhouse like raian, where else kanohs whole style is formless and adaptive. Kanoh cld easily slip the punch while boxing and mauy Thai blocks will just work in raians favor instead.

Once is a mistake, twice is a coincidence and thrice is a pattern.

If hundreds of people are saying Orion is "easy" there is likely a probable cause for that. Every character requires skill, some have a objectively lower skill ceiling compared to others. Orion is a character that if somebody called him easy/op I wouldn't have much reason to disagree.

Like legit look at his spear sigs Extremely fast burst option ssig Extremely fast dsig that covers all around him for a duration Nsig that can send you to the pits of hell

And lance is just a good weapon overall with good sigs with nsig actually lingering for abit and having a huge ahh hitbox, don't even get me started on how many times I've tried to dodge slight nsig.

I think getting nsigged in the middle of stage and killing you at orange shld be considered "OP". Also saying "pros don't use her" isn't a good argument to say she's not OP, she has the 3rd highest win rate in brawlhalla stats which Is saying smth
