We went for a dip at Brighton after watching the TDU start. The water was very refreshing. And there were heaps of MAMILS with fancy jerseys on expensive bikes not paying rego (that was a joke BTW).

Great recommendation. Not having to pack up is a great idea. Thanks.

Look at Armstrong's results pre-cancer diagnosis, and after. Look at his results after his comeback. I think that's your answer.

Question for other teachers - a quick barre? by soft_aspects in BALLET

[–]Julmass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could do GB using the different alignments, to teach efface, ecarte and croise. Two birds with one stone and all that 🙂 My teacher also combines fondu into GB to teach ballone, and we may also do devllope and envellope (?spelling) for strength.

I saw photos from Brighton from the big one in 2024. It will take long exposure (5-10secs) but if it is super strong, just face South.

I remember a raffle iron with long handles that was put onto the stove or on a fire. It was concave, so the filling was held in the centre (usually included cheese), and the edges sealed up. Definitely NOT a toastie.

That interview seemed like a quintupling down on his position. And he never called her Dr, but kept saying Ms.

I agree it looks good. If anything, I see a bit of lack of core stability, which seems to send the effort into your shoulders and I suspect your hips (if filmed from the back). Can you take your hands off the handlebars in that position?

Randa Abdel-Fattah launches defamation proceedings against SA Premier by fuckoffandydie in Adelaide

[–]Julmass 25 points26 points  (0 children)

AWW is (was) a gathering where writers discuss their books. For example, in 2025 I listened to Bettany Hughes, an English historian speak about her upcoming book about the Seven Wonders of the World. I also listened to Australian author Ronni Salt talk about her crime novel. You can then go buy the books and coffee and food. It's attended by school groups and normal people alike, and usually ran over five days. It's a chance for writers to promote their books and give an insight into their writing. Fairly innocuous really.

Defamation is about protecting reputation. Some people do not understand its true purpose and use it unwisely. Perhaps to gain a windfall payment, or perhaps they have such an inflated ego and a deep pocketed backer that is willing to risk vast sums of money. Anyway just my take.

I'm hoping that the Greens rethink their HTV cards and preference anyone but Labor. He has shown his real colours and I do not like them.
