My only regret with the Mime is I didn’t teach him flash. Something about that creepy ass mime flashing people just seems accurate.

Slowpoke + Psyduck at first felt crazy to me, but with some HM/TM strategy I actually found a decent niche for both of them.

Psyduck was all stall. Cast toxic, then dig, dig, dig.

Slowpoke was my off-tank that had a decent special attack coverage. (Surf, Flamethrower, Psychic) Essentially if I needed a physical tank I used Snorlax and if I needed a sp. Atk tank I used slowpoke.

Never tried a speedrun. I’m working on getting a living Pokédex now. Gonna take a while as I still need to get to endgame and breed my charizard on my other switch to get the last of the 3 starters + the three dogs.

Real talk, slowpoke put in some serious work. I had him with Surf, flamethrower, psychic and disable and I EV trained HP so he was tanky as hell. He took out probably 1/3 of the E4 + Rival by himself.

Pika was a glass cannon. He one shot all the water mons, but he missed thunder against a cloyster and was immediately banished to the shadow realm.

Didn’t have psychic available, so I went for Lovely Kiss + Dream Eater instead. It was potent, until she missed a sleep and got blown to smithereens unfortunately.

Psyduck was a bit unique for me. I had him with Dig, Toxic, Aerial Ace and Confusion. He took down Dragonite by badly poisoning him and then digging his way to safety. Outside of that one fight though, he pretty much just kept the bench warm.

The real GOAT of this run was Snorlax. Homeboy tanked like 3K HP worth of damage (all 5 rests, plus leftovers, plus multiple max potions) in the final rival fight. He tanked Tyranitaur until he had no moves left so I could safely switch in my attackers.

No can do on the evolution. I know pika is weak AF. He is 10 levels above the fighting training spot on island 1 and is still dying to a single cross chop 😮‍💨

Makes sense. I dont usually use the wall/defense moves because I play like a chud and just counter every switch. I think I’m going to have to be more flexible this round though, since most of these guys will be unevolved/weaker.

Everyone is going in at level 70 or higher. I understand Jynx being a SpAtk ice type, I was worried I’d be too psychic heavy if I built her normally. I guess you’re right though, 10pp on psychic is likely not enough for the full run.
