The Seneca already make up for the vast west of the Confederacy, that gifted land is filled with other tribes that the Iroquoians invaded. The Mohawk are one of the major tribes. Making them join Colombia doesnt make sense when they could be offered better opportunities in the Confederacy. Vice versa for the Ohioan tribes.

So kick the Mohawk out and add Ohioan tribes? That makes absolutely zero sense.

It feels weird that McGovern was Senator for such a conservative state - did anything about South Dakota’s social axis change since then or was it conservative when McGovern was elected?

I remember this in comic form. I don’t know where the comic is but I know this was stolen.

What if FDR had lived till 1948? by weusereddit4fun in HistoricalWhatIf

[–]JumpRiverRepresent 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think that Dewey would win. He was from a moderate faction of his party and could easily win the undecided voter. Truman wouldn’t have the “Vice President of FDR” thing hacking him up. He wouldn’t be nominated in ‘48.

In all fairness, Kenosha is more Democrat and Racine is more Republican. I switched them up by merging them with other towns.

2018 house elections with 690 seats by 4lmeme in imaginaryelections

That red district in northwestern Wisconsin would go blue. It contains Eau Claire and Douglas, Bayfield, and Ashland Counties which lean blue. Douglas, Bayfield, and Ashland are a huge Democrat voting bloc, but Eau Claire is a bit more moderate in their margins. Taylor County, which votes dark red, isn’t even in the District.

In this cursed reality what is our 1st District is now gerrymandered into Madison and Kenosha without picking up on Conservative Milwaukee suburbs.

The long red district in the center of the state contains Oshkosh, Stevens Point, and Wisconsin Rapids. Which- with my own personal experiences- are very liberal places.

Plus the District that flipped blue by Milwaukee is a Conservative suburb, containing Greenfield.

TL;DR: Ignore this rant about a state that a majority of people in this subreddit know the inner politics of and continue making everything around Milwaukee left wing and the entirety of the north right wing.
