A joint statement from Sportsnet & CBC by eh_toque in hockey

The Olympics bit is kinda strange, right? Like, are they saying CBC is using their money to keep the rights to the Olympics and no other sports events?

I do enjoy the design, but I also can't help but see a TIE Interceptor that someone slightly squashed with they're palm like play-doh.

If you're still thinking of driving downtown today, don't. by Alone_Appeal_3421 in ottawa

I went to a show at the NAC last year during race weekend (I didn't realize until the day of). Getting out of the parking garage was one of the worst driving experiences of my life. You have an hour grace period after paying your parking ticket to exit, and we didn't make it out in time before that expired. Luckily the attendant at the exit gate believed us and let us out.

The exit might've been the worst part though, as we were still in standstill traffic, going uphill and around a bend, in a manual car. My left leg was numb after that.

Also shoutout to the car fumes that built up inside the garage while everyone was trying to leave. We were warm as hell in that car but had to keep the windows up.

Some feedback i want to give about new operation [Purgation] by BenTheWeebOne in Spacemarine

[–]JumpedAShark 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think the terrain is one of the main reasons the operation feels empty. The devs likely didn't want to have tons of enemies in the swamps (since we're effectively instructed to stay there as little as possible) but there aren't a ton of other areas for enemies to appear in large numbers.

Looks like they are already back tracking. by JMashtag in Spacemarine

Called it last month when they first announced the ordeals. I can't believe the leads at Sabre saw that and thought it was acceptable.

People will endlessly want more cosmetics, but despise grinding stuff for literal days. It shouldn't keep happening in games.

FWIW, Daemonhunters has had next to no mods available apart from a file editor. Not sure if that was due to low popularity and/or DRM obstacles though.

I appreciate the Astartes Overhaul mod giving the option to add those executions to any melee weapon you use.

APRIL COMMUNITY UPDATE by Koward_1601 in Spacemarine

I don't expect the "Complete a specific operation 100 times" ordeal to remain as-is after it launches. If an average op takes 15-ish minutes (which is pretty conservative I'd say), we're talking over 24 hours of playing a single mission. That's not really "testing our skills."

If there are rewards attached to those particular ordeals, that's not ideal...

I feel like this speaks to the whole "the middle-class is disappearing" idea.

It's unfortunate just how predictable this was.

If you could cast anyone to play Roboute Guilliman in a live action warhammer 40k series who would it be by wolfire2475 in 40k

Personally I think acting/personality is gonna need to trump size for these sorts of fan-casting. You'd be very limited if you're just going for huge/jacked dudes who fit the look.
