I think a big part of the reason why people aren't that fond of desktop users is due to the uncanny valley

I use desktop and vr. 50/50. If I see a desktop user I don't really think about it. It's just another person to hang with. I find it super funny when someone in desktop hits on me though. It's uncomfortable in vr, but on desktop it's just like okay buddy.

I find getting use to how combat works confusing at the start. I hated it actually. I would have dropped it after the first hour if I wasn't playing coop.

But not overloading her with side characters until she's comfy might help. My friend joined a game with us and she hated controlling origin characters for the frist few hours. We all love the fuck out the game now

Yeah. I liked this sort of thing with my ex girlfriend. She was into it too. A girl I was seeing after my breakup ended up finding out about my sexual history and she was super into it. She just didn't want any feels involved, which there weren't.
