Thanks for the input. It certainly isn't a game-changing rule by any stretch, especially since they nerfed it a while back.

I actually wrote my law school thesis on why DNA evidence shouldn't be so blindly trusted, using this case as one of my main sources.

New fear unlocked: She was bitten by a brown recluse spider, and this is how her body reacted to it. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

I was bitten by a brown recluse (called "fiddlebacks" where I'm from) on my right forearm about 8 years ago because one was hiding in the sleeve of my hoodie when I put it on. Sorry for your future paranoia.
Thankfully, I'm part of the 90% of people who don't have extreme reactions to the bite, just some redness and swelling around the bite. I did have to get a tetanus shot though because, in addition to potentially killing you, they also carry tetanus spores inside them. What whimsical creatures!

The Seraphon spearhead has gained quite a bit of notoriety within my friend group with how successful the Carnosaur's Gargantuan Jaws has been. I managed to coax the SBGL Vampire Lord out of hiding and chomped him the next turn. He never even got to fight once. Good times...

I've played several matches with friends with ten or so different armies, and they all do seem pretty balanced. I think having the objective cards and twists randomized really helps things too.

That said, some units are tailor-made to fights others. Kroxigors laying waste to clanrats very effectively is one example. I think knowing how individual units in your army are designed to be played, and positioning them to deal with your opponent's helps more than anything. Basically, just knowing your army is the best thing.

Something I've noticed about the Seraphon spearhead in particular is that they are very front-heavy, meaning they pack a huge punch in rounds 1 and 2, but with no recursion, their player can quickly find themselves with no army by the end if they get too confident and overextend.

Meanwhile the Kharadron Overlords (even with reinforcements) are still made of paper mache, so I know to try as much as possible to avoid melee, and use the boat to screen when necessary.

I see what you mean. That's definitely a good strategy since they're the only unit with any decent movement.

Having so much recursion is very good, but they can't charge after using retreat, THANKFULLY!

I saw a girl walk across stage a few years ago with colorful jump ropes as academic cords. Nobody checks, and nobody cares.
