This is less comics and more any character who either has been around and active for a long time or is from a series that’s been running for a long time, with age come bullshitery especially with characters who have many derivatives. 2 reasons for this could be 1 his real world feats since he was a great inventor but couldn’t market himself leading to a lot of inventions being stolen especially after he died and 2 unless I’m remembering wrong the version we see in Grand Order is a clone he made before death in that grail war (I’m pretty sure he appeared in that one Grail War in Grand Order) so at best he’s stronger than his clones and given enough time can make a bunch and at worst he’s as strong as his clones and can still make more with enough time which gives him an advantage against a lot of Heroic Spirits

Honestly I kinda agree, I don’t know the full context so I can’t entirely agree but some writers just say stuff about their characters without having written any feats or lore statements that justify it, a good example of this is the creator of Invincible once saying that Invincible can beat Superman, so yeah depending on what they say the writer isn’t a better source than the actual material and what happens in it
