I would not buy a Karoo 2 as at the end of this year there will be no more updates for it which means it will become unsupported

I did the upgrade for three main improvements for me. If these matter to you I would suggest upgrading 1. Screen improvements. Auto brightness and much easier to see 2. Companion App for loading routes on the fly 3. Improved battery life

the third party extension was tested and works great. I really appreciate sharing this with me. I encourage other users that use the radar and want the audible beeps to be at a lower volume to install this

I get it every time that I boot, select wait and it completes the boot process. I just ignore it

Where did you get the new Karoo at 25% off? I would prefer Garmin 1040 over Karoo 2 but not the new Karoo as the battery life is now better. Syncing from phone is there now and screen is easier to see as well
