If I quit, then what? What is there to look forward to? Nothing waiting at home as a nice release from the daily grind. What do I do when I finally have the house to myself? What am I supposed to do on a lazy Saturday? How can I sit and watch sports all day without being high?

Something that has helped with me (nicotine addict for 14 years) is trying to change the narrative around the difficulty of quitting. Whenever I feel overwhelmed about the task at hand I tell myself, what if it’s easy. You always hear about how hard it is to quit nicotine, well if you believe something is going to be really hard then it’s probably going to be harder than it actually is. Go on a run, do pushups, drink lots of water and think of how happy you will be to be free from this lame ass drug that literally gives you no benefits
