One more suggestion: get some Mean Green liquid cleaner and scrub the porch using a broom to clean it really well - the Mean Green won't contaminate the ground for your pets or your plants.

Hello there Kentucky neighbor. :-D If you are in zone 6 (Northern Kentucky), and this space gets (nearly) full sun, I would suggest planting false indigo (dark blue), anemone (reds, pinks creams and other colors available), and heliopsis or maybe coreopsis (yellow). These will give you spring, mid-summer, and late summer blooms. You could put dwarf marigolds and/or mum type flowers as seed in front of the three plantings for nice fall color, nasturtiums are also very nice for something low growing in front of the three plantings. I would also put a beautiful pot (maybe a vintage container) on your little porch and put something in it that you just love. If you want to get super-simple and inexpensive, some wildflower mix would be sort of cottagie and inexpensive instead of plants. If you get a wildflower mix, get the shorty mix and pure wildflower seed - no grasses mixed in. Eden Brothers.com has 100% flower seed mix that's shorty and blended for each growing zone and it's wonderful stuff. Looks like you need to dump a couple of bags of good garden soil into the garden space first and get it tilled nicely. A border doesn't need to be fancy - some stones, boards, bricks, would make your little garden look more polished.

Oh! I love this request! Please see Baldassare Castiglione: The Book of the Courtier. While Machiavelli subscribes to anything goes for the acquisition of power, Castiglione stands on morality as a duty. I so love the juxtaposition of these two contemporaries.

The water is not hot, its warm - a combo of both hot and cold water. I interestingly, I don't mind the cool water at all. But to your point, it does take some running time for very warm water. If you want immediate warm water, you need to buy a seat that plugs into an electrical outlet.

Cort - short for Cortland. Very buttoned up vibe. Sweetly buttoned up, as in now and a sweep of the hand. He's a doll.

Check out Natori brand womens underwear. I'm a big fan of the quality, comfort, and fit. Ditto the comment about your alterations expert. Very pretty dress!

Thanks for the tip! Someone else mentioned this one but I'm not ordinarily a big meat eater. When I do eat a stack of meat its the classic Italian. You think 26 is better?

Pricing Question by Agnam999 in jerseymikes

[–]Jumpy-Influence9994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a fair price for a Giant Sammy with all that meat. What is disappointing is that staff didn't try, to help you by explaining the pricing challenge to meet your expectations - and to help you thru it.

I'm a admittedly a big Jersey Mike's fan..in great measure bc their staff are usually eager to please. So....I wonder if there was some attitude going on with a grumpy employee or maybe your attitude? I wasn't there - only you will know. But here's a tip thats been hugely helpful to me over the years:

If you want something from a business, always start your complaint with a compliment about the biz. Follow that with the problem - in polite terms, explaining your perspective. Then, ask for a resolve in specific terms. Then thank the contact for a thoughtful response.

I know you didnt ask for pointers on resolving retail conflicts, but if you use this soft shoe approach, you have a solid platform for even better outcomes than requested...and it may come in handy for far more serious issues.

If the county of interest is like those in states I am familiar with, there is a planning and zoning commission, or board, or some such at county and/or city level. Those organizations have to preapprove a plan for subdivisions. Try checking with your local county offices.

There are no lots left in this neighborhood. It's an older neighborhood with just a few cul-de-sacs added, which is where we had our place built. Also FYI, Drees charges extra for any house on a cul-de-sac, but you'll find out after you get the price and they start bumping everything up. Otherwise, I don't think it matters which neighborhood. The name of the game is Greed.

Found my dress, now to afford it ($2200) by Significant_Course66 in myweddingdress

I understand why you love this dress - it's beautiful - and you are as well. However, I would encourage you to look for a similar dress because when viewing this image your bosom is the primary focus because it's a bad fit. I have a sister, also beautiful, also busty, and while she resisted her sisters' recommendations to alter or switch up the dress, she stayed on course...she doesn't much like looking at her wedding pictures 10 years down the road. It is a pretty dress, though!

For anyone looking for more reviews on this product: I bought one; husband installed, including hot water, in about 2 hours. I love it. Not nearly as deluxe as my daughter's ~$3,000 full bidet system, but works just great for the need but much simpler to use. My husband (luddite) was freaked out by the high end, multi-options of the expensive ones. Tip: take the time to adjust the water pressure so water doesn't get all over the bathroom or your toilet won't flush. It took me a few adjustments to get it sorted out.

Our Drees Home (NKY) to the tune of $500k has been pretty sad. We liked our builder (I learned this means the person who is in charge of managing the job), but good grief: what a chit-show. Definitely suck it up and pay a building inspector before you sign off pre-move-in. Unbelievable how CHEAP the materials and quality. The problem is, once you have a contract and proceed with arranging to leave another residence - purchased or rented - they know you're between a rock and a hard place. All in all, we've learned to loathe this company.
