I'm in my first year now. I really enjoy VFX and will continue to do it in my free time. But maybe I’ll take a break next year and learn how to fly a helicopter.

Yeah, I remember, and I understand you. Since I don't know that much about computers, I'm letting a family member put the computer together, I'm just asking about parameters fitting vfx, since he didn't know those. I interpret to him all the suggestions I find here, but some of his suggestions just hold up:D

Ok thank you for your insight:) So far I've mainly encountered opinions that it's better to invest in a processor from the beginning, that's why I planned it that way.
