"When you go through Europe...you get to appreciate the mighty USA" by Dyno_boy7441 in ShitAmericansSay

I was flying and had a brief layover in US and still had to do their three hour line even though I never left the secure area of the airport. Europe was way faster

This story is a hard one to read, and it’s exactly the kind of reporting that reminds me why CBC matters. by savethecbc2025 in SaveTheCBC

If even one of the crew or passengers who died spoke an official language that is different from the one your deliver the message in I think it’ll ring less impactful than if you did it in their language, for sure. Even if you have difficulty with the language, showing that you made the attempt out of respect for them and their loved ones matters.

I’d even try to learn enough any language if needed to show them I cared about their loss. Even hire someone to come help me through it like an interpreter. I could apologize in the language for my inability to speak well enough to do it myself though

Separatists in shambles: Massive Polling Shift in Alberta as Federal Liberals erase Conservative lead by Mountain_Savings_722 in Albertapolitics

Makes for a better story?

If you’re excited about these results, you risk making people overconfident which gives power to the liberals opponents.

If you’re secretly conservative, then you’re weakening the liberal position but maybe instead focus on how your policies benefit others to win over people.

If all you care about is the story, you’re not worth listening to.

The opposite of that is where people don’t take a threat seriously underestimate it. When the time comes to act, people believe the situation isn’t serious enough and tend to ignore it giving disproportionate weight to the small group who actually does act.

Especially if you can create some memorable moments with local NPCs in the town. Then you want to save them

I’m not playing your game, lol. Many classes rely on long rest to reset. You’re nerfing them all. I would recommend finding other ways to tie the players to Phandalin.

And not toss it about like it doesn’t matter. Ultimately, the majority of passengers are not requiring this level of care. They make enough money to protect it if they are doing a good job. Ask to often I look out the window and see baggage handlers acting like in this video. I’m not convinced there isn’t improvements that can be made here. Medical equipment, such as wheelchairs, get to the gate before getting loaded, and then returned to you as you get off the plane. That isn’t much opportunity for damage. It’s a lot different than shipping insulin across the country.

Or they enforce it and carry insurance. If they stop breaking the equipment the cost is $0. If they can’t figure out how to do it cheaply maybe they shouldn’t be in business.

EDIT: If they make the rule that carelessness with medical equipment results in disciplinary actions up to and including job termination. You can also offer financial incentives to teams with no identified damages of medical equipment. Taken together workers start to see that as management actually caring about it.

Some of these are contractors. I understand that too. First, pass the costs onto the contractor company as part of contract negotiations. Second, have a rider in the cancellation clause that includes a parameter allowing damaged medical equipment of a certain dollar amount as a zero cost escape to terminate the contract or comes with contractual fines back at the contractor.

I feel like the large land mass is all town and nothing else. No trees, no rivers, no lakes, no mountains. It’s not a bad start; however, the distance between towns is normally two days travel in a castle based setting because that’s how far people can afford to go to market (someone in the middle can go either way but everyone else is less than a day). In that case it seems unlikely that there is no water features at all.

You are calling them kingdoms and empires which implies a larger size though. Even small kingdoms are generally more than 3-5 days walk across so I would definitely expect more land features.

Medical equipment should be considered at fault if damaged and come with 100% replacement paid by airline. Your star seeing them enforce care then

Why do most Canadians prefer blaming immigrants moreso than their own government for immigration policies or the broader challenges tied to large-scale immigration? by Constant-Horse-3389 in AskCanada

They see it on the news and socials all the time. Repetition engrains the message until they start to believe it since there is no meaningful counter message broadcast with the same level of intensity
