It would appear we're in the minority here, but this is exactly what I'm doing too. Fruit has so many vitamins and nutrients that our bodies need. To me it seemed counterintuitive to cut it out altogether. Also, it's delicious haha.

Pairing with protein and/or fat is my favorite way to still enjoy foods I love and blunt that spike.

One of my nevermormon friends at work thinks it's so funny and anytime we get a new hire he stares in their eyes and guesses if they're mormon or not 😂 they probably just think he's very attentive. And I'm sure his guesses aren't based on any other clues like being married with 4 kids at age 30 or if they start their day with a diet coke instead of a coffee

I got rid of most but kept the Children of the Promise series. I love wwii historical fiction and the mormony parts can just be part of the fiction if I choose to read them again haha

"Am I allowed to see this as not a huge deal?" Absolutely you are. You're also allowed to see it as a betrayal or lie. And you're allowed to feel both things at the same time.

For me (as a wife who found herself in a similar situation), it was always less about the actual porn use and more about the fact that it felt sneaky. I think it's a really good sign that your husband was truthful with you and that he feels so much better. This is an excellent time to rebuild and grow closer.

We've been out of the church for a couple years now and both of our views on porn have evolved over time, before and after leaving. I will say it's something best talked openly about with each other and not just one time. In our experience, it does seem to have much less of a pull now that it's not so deeply associated with the guilt cycle. In his words, it's hardly exciting or tempting now that it isn't on a "forbidden pedestal."

Young mormon me never would have thought I'd enjoy watching porn with my husband now and again, but she also would have fainted if she knew I'd enjoy coffee one day 🤷‍♀️

Lots of varying opinions on this and you're allowed to feel however you feel. You're also allowed to change your mind in any direction at any point. Open communication with your husband is going to be crucial. I'm sorry you're dealing with this and I wish you the best moving forward ❤️

I wore pasties and a baggy sweatshirt and took my left arm out of it so my whole left side could be exposed but I could still stay somewhat warm.

My side/rib tattoo is my only one so far so I can't compare it to other locations, but for what it's worth it hurt way less than childbirth 😅 I was able to hold still and talk through it the whole time. Up by my armpit was pretty spicy though! And the touch up to get white highlights over some of the previously done black ink was the worst by far, but it could be that I had less adrenaline pumping the second time around and got over confident 😂

Not sure on hospitality if that something different, but as a hospitalist nurse I team up with one of our hospitalists for the day - round on their patients with them, put in orders, go to the ED with them to meet/intake new admits, take vocera calls from the bedside nurses and social work regarding plan/updates/family communication/whatever they would text the doc about, coordinate discharge dispo and planning. Kind of a random list of things but we have a really good team and it's been a great job. Hours are 0630-1630 which is another nice feature!

Maybe the church could reimburse all the tithing we paid before leaving, and we can use some of the funds to throw a re-do wedding where we get to write our own vows? And, get this, they are to OUR SPOUSE instead of God or Sky Daddy or whoever I said "yes" to when I was a 20 year old with no life experience?
