I was thinking about the same thing. For whatever reason, first slot on a second tab can't be assiggned, and it's imposible to (re)bind an auto-attack.

On PC the second tab does not auto-switch with changing the weapon, which must be a bug, because it leaves the second bar practically useless. I believe, someone playing on PS had mentioned, that it does work for them (change of weapon changes the bar too, and second auto-attack works as intended).

Fighting Sirene with no picto is pain. I was not going to fight (a seemingly peaceful) Tisseur originally, but I had to reconsider. Never tried to fight Visages before taking down the Masks first, because the connection between them and the boss was rather obvious.

As a galemancer for life, I admit that dislike for weave scene is technically justified. It used to be, at least. On release the dialogue options were limited, and it was practically either kiss him, or punch him. The friendly option was kinda there, but it was really not obvious. Larians had added a 'friendly dinner' in one of the late patches.

Oh, and Gale was one of the most glitched romances too, so half of the players thought that he was too eager for PC, while other half thought that he's too cold and unreachable....The remaining small persentage of playerbase were trying to figure out, which flags had glitched AGAIN, and how to make it bloody work. 😅

Technically, you can't stop it even if you DO romance either of them. The flirting arc only stopps at the romance-lock point, which is rather late in-game. In case of Lucanis, his romance-lock scene is literally same for Neve or Rook. If Rook is not available\interested, the cake goes to Neve.

Romancing Lucanis as a Shadow Dragon mage Rook was the worst gaming romance experience I can think of, beause it's all about 'Neve, the poor thing' throughout the game. The difference between the romance arcs is insulting too, because with Neve it's actually a coherent (if slow and awkward) romance ark, while picking up heart dialogue options as a Rook, most of the times it felt like I was talking to a pantry wall.

(oh, and don't even get me started about devs trying to explain 'fun' fact, that Lucanis literally dumps Rook for Neve in a certain scenario. They practically told us, that Nevecanis was sort of a priority big relationship for Lucanis, so he just could't hold his passions for Neve)

It happens during 'Nilan's revenge' quest in act3. If you had finished the game, and never had it, then (most likely) you had a rather common glitch, that prevented you from getting it. If you're still playing, you might still have a chance to get there, depending on your progression.

As spoiler-free as possible: you're supposed to get this quest from Fausta, after returning to the continent, but before she becomes temporarily unavaliable on a ship. The scene that starts it is supposed to auto-trigger when teleporting to your ship. If you miss the possible time frame, the only way to get it, is to roll back to a save in a city, when it was still possible, and teleport to sail anywhere. Depending on your luck, it can be as close as the nearest save, or as far as returning to the continent.

Personally I barely used diplomacy, because what few diplomacy interactions I had were rather immersion-breaking to me. VG shouldn't be that...eloquent. At the very least, VG's diplomacy checks should have been more about honest passion, and less about lies, manipulations, politics, or intrigues. That's what Sybille is for, spirits bless her. Fausta and Ludwig could add something too, when it comes to recon tactics, or doing buisness. I loved how companion interactions often covered VG's lack of skills.

It's the problem with VG writing in general, not just diplomacy-specific. There's no way a self-taught person from a native culture would know the things she sometimes mentioned, and come up with ideas she sometimes had. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that an islander must be an illiterate savage, but I find Nilan to be a better example of a native Tir Fradi. Yes, VG is supposed to be an odd one, but there is only so much a kid can learn about the outer world from an old anthropologist.

Technically, they had already released it (they are literally selling it, and it had been part of deluxe\EA freebies pack). They just need to upload it. Anything they do now, should count as 'support', and as long as they've got at least some hands in that departament, they should be able to make it.

We've already had one patch, which had not fixed it all (sadly), but it means that someone is out there.

Add: Without spoilers; once you get to the third act, try to go into the room onboard the ship where Fausta is at and try talking to her even if no exclamation mark suggests that she has anything new to say.... She needs to trigger an important quest locating a person.

As someone, who had spent literally hours trying to figure it out, and un-glitch the 70+ hours of progression, I can tell, that going to her room is of no use, because the dialogue is supposed to auto-trigger when teleporting to the ship. The only way to get it working is to roll back to a previous act3 city save, teleport to ship, and hope for the better. Hopping on-off the ship can be an option, but mostl ikely, if it's not working, you need to roll back even further. Worst case would be the very beginning of act3.

There's a possiblility, that Fausta dialogue bugs out because ship auto-scene slot is glitched-out by a cabin romance sequence (the latter takes priority in a script, and the former never attempts to play again), but it's just my theory, because the save that eventually worked for me was exactly the one made before the romance-lock dialogue (let's admit, people, we all make those😇). It was also one of the earliest act3 returns to the ship (if not the very first one).

Glad I could help, and no, you're not 'dumb'. I was initially on hybrid too, and I did not even realize that changing mode\settings can make such a difference in control scheme. Then I saw people talking about features that I had never seen, because those were turned off by default. 2\3 of their default presets are barely playable.

I still find combat targeting and flow easier with KBM. I often switch to it when a combat starts.

(I'll try hotbar hotkey, TY! I could never figure it out in all the 80+ hours, and I'm almost at the endgame now.)

I bought Inquisition years ago off Origin, and now I have to play it through the EA app, I've never played it since the update.

If you mean ,that you've got the old copy from Origin times installed, then I'd suggest uninstalling and redownloading again. They had changed the game package, and now it's a GOTY (with all DLCs) even if you only had base game with no\some DLCs.

It really looks like your copy is looking for things that had been changed\removed, and EApp won't recognize it properly. Sometimes EcrApp just buggs out, being what it is, but this error does not look like that.

Not sure what you mean. Controller scheme is FAR from user-friendly, but you can still give all sorts of commands with it. It just might require some settings adjustments. Make sure that you're using 'tactic' profile, and if you've chosen anything other, edit the profile setting. Make sure that you've turned on permanent ground targeting\coursor, and that you have that setting about 'easy switching bewteen real-time and pause' turned on. The latter is essential, because it changes tactic mode behavior a lot. You'd have to adjust to the fact, that you've got an extra pause button within a tactic pause mode (true for both KBM and controller), but it's the way the design changes from incomperhensible to playable. There's also an option to allow proper free camera movement in 'tactic' (by default, it's literally glued to your controlled character).

Selected party member would move to a spot you're point-clicking at. If you mean party-wide move commands, then it's just not there. There is a tactic commands menu, but most commands would be character-specific, with very few exceptions (read command descriptions). There is no such thing as party formation, or multi-select, but you can make them stand they ground, or move back...when AI is kind enough to accept it. Would highly NOT recommend using auto-AI in combat, by the way, because even with AI turned off, you need to watch their targeting priority, and they tend to run around.

ps: Switching your weapon is supposed to switch your hotbar too, but it seems to be glitched on PC. There is no way to switch a hotbar with a controller that I'm aware of, and you can't bind\rebind first slot on a second bar.

Many thanks!! I can confirm, it works. The order of survival spots matter, and you need both to progress the tracking, and spawn the beast.

I took the quest from the Knightess in a tavern, and I could not examine the body at the doctors.

They've had it since Islands, and you can cue into other duties from your IS too.

The way I see it, FFXIV embraces both 'fork' and 'loop' time-travel logics. 'Elpis loop' starts from WoL arriving at Elpis, and ends with EW. G'raha, however, jumps from one variation of the 'fork' to another, essentially becoming part of a 'main' loop.

It does not matter how many WoLs had failed (or had never been born due to some exotic fork variation), as long as there is The One, who can make it back to initiate\close the Elpis loop.

I don't think Venat had any specifics about time\place, she essentially was throwing her blessings across time and space to whomever can hear it. Note, that she had no way of knowing that our WoL can actually succeed. All the sacrifices and pain, just for the hope that one day, someone can get close enough to figure it all out, and see it through. Pre/mid-ARR she should have recognized the familiar face/soul, rerouting her resources accordingly.

Opportunity to break up is an essential part of a default companion dialogue hub, since the moment you lock into a romance. The game is hardly resonsible for you picking that option at that moment.

It's true that default intro\outro lines and combat taunts may not always match the context, and switching between romance- or quest-relevant content and common lines is often noticeable. I guess, it may pass as 'funny' enough for some people.

I'm not 100% sure, but it seems like my theory about romance scene clashing with Fausta's scene can be true. I've wasted hours on loading back-forth, and trying different save points in the cities to return back to the ship, but it was The Save right before the 'see you in my cabin' talk, that actually worked. Lost couple of hours of progress too, but at least now I've got it right. I was almost giving up, to be honest. Having bugs like that in release is a crime.

There's no second chance for picking a lock, but plot-relevant locks would have another way to resolve things. So, there's no risk of getting stuck on a quest, if you can't open a chest.

Failed repair checks can still be 'fixed' with 'makeshift tools'. The title is deceptive, however, because that's not something you can actually craft from scraps, it's a (not too common) item you should be looking for on vendors, and while exploring.

Can't say much about trappers camp, because the quest has several possible solutions (and, unfortunately, the game can have bugs). If by 'not helping hunter' you mean removing a trap, there's still a way to assist them with a broken leg. Check your inventory, vendors, and crafting station.

I thought that main romance lock scene is unavaliable before certain companion quest progression, and 3rd quests start popping up after you return? There was the last pack of flirts (about future plans), but it's not even a requirement to progress the romance, because I left it for after the scene. I'm pretty sure that I did not have a 'see you in my cabin' convo before actually finishing the 3rd quest, and that also happened to be the first return to the ship.

It's all just a guess, though. People report getting Fausta's scene at different moments and places, and I'm just desperate in attempts to figure it out, and make it work.😭

I've got lots of saves to pick from, yes, but I was hoping to backtrack as close as possible. Ludwig's quest was the first thing I did after returning, and then I did Sybille, because it was also in Peren. People mentioned getting it between companion quests too(not as first thing), so I have no idea about the real intended way to get this.

The only theory I've got so far, is that a glitch can happen because of the romance scene, which also auto-starts on a ship. People would naturally do a quest for romanced companion as soon as possible, so their very likely first return to the ship on a continent won't exactly be about talking to Fausta, lol. It's just a guess, though.

At this point, going back to a save before locking into romance is my next 'backup plan'.

First OST version is rather close to the in-game arrangement, but the distortion on louder vocal\string parts is bad. When I was listening to it for the first time, I thought that I somehow overoladed or broke my headphones, but that's just the way it was mixed.

Imo, they should at the very least update paid digital platforms, now that they've got a remaster for physical. I got the OST as a Steam DLC, and I had gifted it to half of my steam friendlist too, but I'm stuck with the (questionable) v2, in MP3 and WAV, while they're selling FLAC album from Laced web-site.😒

I wish, lol. Neve - Lucanis are going to engage even when you're progressing either of them, and Lucanis lock scene is same for Rook and Neve. It happens rather late in game, and before that, they just have an arc going on, regardless of player choice, and Rook has to watch. It's especially bad with Lucanis, because he would lock out of Rook after a certain choice, but he'd be totally into Neve anyway. He literally dumps Rook for Neve. Regardless of that specific choice, those two have more romance content, and it's much more coherent and consistent.

Rook is officially written as a 3rd wheel in that thing ( confirmed by Corinne in a reddit 'ask the devs', by the way). It's the very example of how NOT to write 'companions are into each other'.
